Priced out

:rotfl2:You made me laugh, thank you.

To add to the drinks package, I just booked the VOOM internet package on RCCL, which I believe is high speed. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong about that but people use it for facetime, netflex, and periscope all the time. It was $97 Canadian, which at todays rate is about $73 U.S., for 8 nights and tis unlimited. Whats DCL? Something like $87 U.S for 1000 mb's? When your done with that you can buy more though..... :rolleyes1
No comparison.
Wow, that's a great deal! I don't know that I could resist it. At the same time though, I like being able to say I can't be connected because internet is unreasonable. :o

I'm not sure I have the willpower to just not use it.

does anyone know if there is a concierge-like option in RCCL? I have never sailed RCCL but thinking about exploring it since they have more cruises sailing out of the ports in the north

Our one RCCL cruise was in a 2-bedroom suite. There's a concierge lounge with snacks and free mixed drinks. We also got snacks delivered to the room, could eat breakfast (and maybe lunch?) in a special restaurant, and priority on/off the ship. We booked it because it was 2 bedrooms and was cheaper than our 2 rooms on DCL (we did a Southern on the Jewel of the Seas and the Magic was doing the same itinerary). The concierge perks were nice though.

Yep. We have an OBB out there, so we'll get our quote and make our final decision. We enjoyed our EBPC so.much. It was truly a trip of lifetime. Two weeks on the Wonder just spoiled us. But, DD will be in middle school next year and I think our taking her out of school days are over, sadly. We *could* swing it. But, I'm not sure that's how we want to spend our money.

I really don't think they are SO different anymore. They do have the edge in family friendly programming, but that's about as far as it goes, IMO. Celebrity offered almost everything Disney does (style, service, quality) except the family programming - plus they have drink packages, which I loved. I'm not sure that's worth the premium anymore.

Our cruise for Mothers Day last year on the Fantasy was anything but magical. When you are paying for concierge you do not expect a badly stained and patcched carpet in your cabin, nor snacks so tiny you can't tell what they contain because they all look alike, nor dirty dishes on trays left in the hallway all day. You don't expect to be totally ignored in the lounge because the conierge staff is totally absorbed in pacifying the group in the largest suite on board. Let's not forget the cleaning crew who turned on the tv to watch music videos instead of cleaning. This was our 6th cruise on Disney and our worst. Our letters regarding our experience were basically ignored and responded to with form letters. We finally got them to refund our deposit for this years cruise, but no apology was ever given. By the way, we are stockholders in Disney. Disney does not deserve your business.
