Hi! I have a one night ressie at the Poly for April 26th which is costing me 400.00 with the DC discount. Could I get a better deal if I rented points and stayed at a DVC resort? I appreciate any help!

By the way, I would be mostly interested in a one bedroom villa. Thanks!

Probably not. 4/26/2003 is the Saturday night after Easter and is considered Premier season. It would cost a DVC member 73 points for a one bedroom villa at OKW and 75 points for a one bedroom villa at BCV, VWL or BWV. You should expect to pay at least $10/point to book in premier season (because the weeks surrounding Easter are in high demand and you will need to reserve fairly early in the booking window to ensure getting your date).
Bottom line - your one night reservation in a one bedroom DVC villa would end up costing $730 - $750.
Just to compare apples to apples... a Studio at OKW would be 36 points for that night or 43 at VWL, BWV and BWV (Preferred View) or 38 in BWV (Standard View). The 1BR is a lot more- but is also a much more luxurious accommodation.
All DVC resort 1BR villas have a King Bed in the master bedroom, plus a jacuzzi tub, full kitchen and washer/dryer in addition to 800+ square feet.
DVC Studios are similar in size to a room at the Poly, plus they will have a microwave and mini fridge.
It sounds like your expense will be similar in either case for this particular day, for a comparable type of room.
