hello there everybody as i am going for the first time to wdw and have booked a mini van for us i was wondering what the price of petrol was out there any one know please so we can work out a budget for this any help would be greatfully recived.

Hiya Lee

We've just returned and there are three different types of gas available and prices do vary from petrol station to station but the last time we filled our van it was $2.89 a gallon. We hired a Dodge Caravan which was a big 7 seater van and it took $50 to fill it up.

At the time gas was around 2.75 and it cost $35 to fill up

We were at WDW a few weeks ago a noticed that the price at the local Hess Gas Stations were around $2.70 per gallon. You may not be aware that the US Gallon is equal to 3.75 litres as against the UK Gallon which is equal to 4.54 litres. At WDW gas stations can be located at the following areas: Outside the Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney area, Near the Boardwalk hotel across from the MGM parking access road. Another is located near the Magic Kingdom Car Care centre and is the best place to fill up on the way out of the MK. Other stations are available outside WDW near the Crossroads shopping area. dont be fooled into thinking the onsite hess are dearer than ofsite infact they work out as some of the cheapest in the area.some of the petol stations just outside can be as much as $1.00 a galon dearer than hess so take care.Hess allso has Krispe Kreem dounuts,beer and coke at simalar prices to wallmart and not as far to drive as they are onsite

Gas prices, although they have increased recently, are still a pleasant change to our UK ones

RaceTrac station's tend to be as cheap if not cheaper than most, although the location can affect the price.

Minvan's such as Dodge Caravan or Chrysler Voyager do tend not to be very economical when compared to say a Full sized saloon car.

Race Tracs on Sand Lake road was the cheapest in January, and you didn't have to prepay and guess how much you needed.

When you pick your hire vehicle up ask for the 'return full' option as opposed to buying a full tank and returning it empty. The hire companies charge a lot more per gallon and you dont get a refund for any fuel left in when you return it.

how much was uk petrol at the ime bet is was a lot dearer dont forget we are in litres now.when we first went is was 48 cents a galon just wish it was that ouer here
