Has anyone been to the parks recently? My daughter is just dying for a Cinderella dress and she just got some money from Grandma for doing good in school all year. I know I can get one cheaper from various places, but I'm specifically wanting to know how much they are in the parks/DTD. Anyone know? I'm also wondering where, on-property, I can get a Silvermist costume. Any advice would be great!

What's funny is that I posted about a stupid Silvermist costume a few months ago and I was never able to get one other than a super cheap one in Target. Ugh!

Thank you!

A lot more than what you can purchase the same dress for from this ebay seller ~ *if she doesn't have what you want/need send her an ebay message, she'll list it when she can *usually right away* and you just have to get it *BIN* before someone else does.

Thanks! We're leaving in two days, so there's no time for ebay this time.

I thought I remembered seeing some pics from someone's "trip report" and they showed a few of the princess dresses that were for sale in the park (not sure which park though, but I would assume the parks would sell them for the same price)..

anyway..

the dresses were $59.95!! Now, Im not sure if these were "fancier dresses" - but I have 2 boys and dont have a need to buy dresses, so Im not sure, but I saw those prices and thanked (once again) that I have boys...:lmao:

they seemed pricey to me, but once again, I havent bought a princess dress before!!

Good luck!

Too bad you didn't ask sooner ~ I will never purchase a costume/dress in the parks again - I don't know how this ebayer does it but I won't complain.

Why would you never purchase one again? Totally itchy? That's my big concern. :-(

The deal is that one of my daughters really wanted a Silvermist costume, which I never could find. So she settled one this stupid HSM Sharpay prom dress costume, which I totally hate, but she loves. I just know, though, that when she shows up at BBB, despite being forewarned, she'll be totally disappointed that she's not a princess. My other DD has a Belle dress, but she's just pining to be Cinderella. *sigh* This is one of those things that I'm trying to decide if it'll be just so magical and make the whole experience or be the source of frustration because twenty minutes after we get them, the gals want to toss them because they're so uncomfortable.

LOL D'oh. Can you tell I'm running out of steam, trying to get everything packed? Wonder what obvious thing I'll miss next. Searching for the sunglasses on my head? Rummaging through my purse to find the car keys in my pocket? Or will I just go all out and completely forget to pack underwear for my trip? hee hee

I believe the dresses start at 59.99 and go up from there. We have purchased 3 in the last four yrs. I purchased the Snow White dress (dd4) and tink dress (dd8) last Sept and they are both 59.99. We purchased the blue Cinderella dress in dec of 06 but I don't remember the price mainly because we did BBB.

The cinderella dress is still being played with now by my dd4 and she wears it at least 3-4 times a week. I know the dresses are expensive but they do hold up well. :thumbsup2

I forgot to add that the dresses are NOT ITCHY!! The bodice of them is actually more like a leotard material and my dd's have never complained!!

Have fun!! Post pics when you get back!!
