We will be going to Disneyland area for 9 days in June.

I'm interested in how priceline works.

I keep seeing great deals everyone has posted for hotels in the area . Can anyone tell me how it works? I have never used them before.

We also are looking to book airfair can anyone tell me what they would bid for a 3 star hotel or for airfair from Cincinnati,Ohio

Were getting excited we've never been to Califprnia before but were trying to get reservations set. Airfair out of Cincinnati is running $400.00-$500.00.
We would probably fly out of dayton,Oho if we can't get descent rates out of Cincy.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Two websites that give good advice on Priceline are:
Betterbidding.com and Biddingfortravel.com. One site asks specific questions about what you want and then advises you on how to bid. The other site allows you to ask questions and gives answers. It seems like the most popular 3* hotels in the Disneyland/Anaheim area are:
Hyatt Orange County
Crowne Plaza
Coast Anaheim

People seem to have a lot of success with getting these hotels for around $25-40 per night (plus fees & taxes).

annanichole,
I was able to use biddingfortravel.com to pin point the exact hotel that I received on hotwire before purchasing. It takes some homework. but I did figure it out.

Here's another big thumbs up for biddingfortravel.com In the summertime most bids for a 3-star land you at the Hyatt Regency Orange County. We upgrade to a kids suite or a King Suite for 45.00 more a night. The Kids suite has adorable bunk beds, seating area and the King sized bed half of the room (separated by a door) has a refridgerator and a microwave. Across the street is a Red Robin, Outback, Joe's Crabshack and Target. It's very convenient we love it. This hotel is actually in Garden Grove/Anaheim border but is minutes from the park via shuttle and is just down Harbor.

Check out the Hotel Review section for biddingfortravel.com it has very detailed reviews. Such as parking information 12.00 a night .

Good luck

We used Priceline for a Disneyland trip a couple of years ago and ended up with the Westcoast Anaheim. I called the hotel direct and asked if there were any extra fees I should know about and was told there were none. Upon check out we were surprised to see a huge parking charge. At that point, the Priceline rate was not as great as we originally thought. I would use them again but will definitely be more agressive about "hidden" costs.
