Price Increases?

Hi ladies. We know character prices are increasing and, from what I understand, there is talk of other prices increasing as of October. I know prices aren't guaranteed until 6 months prior to your date. I'm wondering if this also applies to your venue fees/minimums? Or are those locked in when you sign your contract? TIA!

ETA: I know your overall minimum is locked in. I'm referring to F&B minimums at venues.

I don't think the minimums change as regularly as everything else does... So hopefully we'll be safe

Once you sign your contract you and WDW are bound to what's in it, I know in my contract the minimum for Ariel's is clearly stated in the venue section.

What they can raise are the elements like DJ, cakes, meals, bar packages, venue requirements (like the new lighting package requirement for Sago Cay in Oct)... because those cannot be guaranteed until 6 months out but you sign your contract at 12-8 months out.

It sucks, hopefully they won't be raising things too much.

The only F&B minimums mentioned in my contract are the $1000 at Ariel's and the per person F&B minimum for the guests. Mine is $100 for a lunch reception. And of course the overall expenditure minimum of $10k. But that's all it mentions. It does say that certain elements can't be guaranteed until 6 months out but doesn't really say what. I guess it's everything except what's made clear in the contract.
