Price Increases?

I've been seriously considering making the plunge into DVC at SSR, either through Disney or resale. I'm wondering what the history is of Disney raising the price of the points on this resort and others? If I buy my SSR at $90 per point through disney (after promotion) is it likely that Disney will be selling it for higher prices in the next year(s) and would that push up the resale market also? If I were to sell my stake in SSR in say 10 - 15 years (still 30+ years remaining) would I make or lose money?

You shouldn't buy the DVC as an investment. It is widely expected and there are rumors that the price increase is coming very shortly. Of course, there always be a some kind of incentives as well.

Will you sell your DVC more than what you paid for after a decade or two? Probably but your guess is anybody's guess. But after a decade of vacationing using DVC, I don't think you would loose money.

In the information we just received, it states that the price for SSR will go up to $101 on April 1st, 2006.
