Price increase coming in June

That's easy they just raise the cash price of the rooms to adjust .The break even point is the same unless you compare the prices in a different way .

I've recently seen adds for 30% discounts for WDW hotels over the summer and it sounds like they have not been filling the hotels so cash prices don't seem to have an unlimited threshold. That's probably also part of the reason that they are rumored to be committing even more of the existing Poly rooms to DVC.

I can't believe how expensive the newer resort are in comparison to resorts that aren't even that 'old' (I'm thinking of SSR and AKV in particular).

When you compare OKW to VGF... I will take OKW any day of the week for that price difference!

Now in the interest of honesty, we have 2 nights in a 1BR booked for July - just to stay there, and since we are only going to be there two nights, it was the perfect chance to try it.... just to say we have.

I don't think it will be an OH MY GOSH! I MUST STAY THERE EVERY TIME....I MUST BUY POINTS!!!! experience...

It will be, well, that was nice. How long could we stay at OKW vs VGF? OH, OK, let's go ahead and book OKW!

My jaw hit the floor a few weeks ago when I saw the VGF fixed week, during Christmas hit the resale market - it was close to $75k!

If Powerball keeps climbing and my numbers hit, I still won't be looking at VGF... I'll be skipping right over to Golden Oaks!

Even figuring that most other weeks could be had @ half the price, that would be almost $2M. Sure, I wouldn't really buy an entire year at any DVC resort, but that kind of math makes Golden Oaks look downright reasonable.
