Is it me, or does it not appear that the 14 day repositioning prices are quite good, compared to the West Coast 7 day prices?

No, it's not you. I'm not that surprised they priced the 14 day repo cruises at a lesser per diem price than the 7 dayers. Longer voyages, as well the fact that it's a one-way sailing, are customarily lower priced. I just booked the May Westbound voyage. The prices are very much in line with those charged by "normal" cruise lines! They could have gotten away with charging more....goodness knows most of us would have paid it. But we've really cashed in on a bargain, considering it's Disney and it will be so much more 'special' than a regular Panama Canal sailing.

I am FLABBERGHASTED! Very good prices and get this....the prices were changing AS WE BOOKED. I got my quoat and 45 mintues later, for same cruise, the price went up. Something about early bird bookings...SO LUCKED OUT. Was on hold about 20 minutes

I'm SO excited

in the past 2 hours the category 7 quote for 2 adults, 1 teen on the Aug repositioning cruise has gone up from $5,927.67 (insurance, no transfers) at 11AM PDT to $6,807.67 (insurance, no transfers) at 12:20PM PDT.

Hoping the TA got in early enough ;)

That's still less than the Fl. to CA. reposition though.
Our quote for cat. 7 cabin 2 adults one child is $7,207.67

Would you say this would be a great time to include airfare, since you arrive in California and depart from Florida??

Would booking air on our own be much more for one-way trips?

Wow!!
I don't have our exact price but I know that a Cat 7 we booked with two adults and one child, and a Cat 11 with two adults was approximately $8000.

Then we have our 10% and $200 onboard credit to take into account.

Cheers,
Grumbo

Until recently, booking one-way air fares was generally expensive. But that's rapidly changing as the low price carriers, such as JetBlue, Airtran, etc offer low one-way pricing. This is forcing the major airlines (United, Delta, etc) to follow suit. We frequently see one-way fares from CA to FL in the $100-150 range. As a result, we'll handle our own air fare for the Panama Canal cruise.

I got the quote on the airfare it was $375 pp including transfers plus air tax. I thought that was pretty good.

I got $580 for three adults all taxes in for an August flight from Buffalo - Ontario, Ca.
Most airlines don't have their prices this far in advance so this is a 2004 price but probably be close.

Cheers,
Grumbo
