Price Difference between POR and ASMU during FD

I've searched and cannot find the answer.
When I called to reserve our room for FD for September 2013, I was booking ASMU and the lady told me if I had called when FD was first announced I could have booked POR or POFQ for $100 more for the week. She checked and there were no more POR or POFQ rooms available with FD. I did upgrade the FD at ASMu to the regular plan (1 TS, 1 CS and 1 snack).
Can someone tell me if they have known this to be true? We are considering moving our trip to November if they offer FD then and when I run the prices, POR is still about $300 more for the week. Thanks

The price difference could be after you paid to upgrade to regular dining. Dh and I are going for 3 nights in Sept. during free dining. I have looked at upgrading to Port Orleons too many times and the price difference is $300 for those 3 nights.

I am getting $300 after I include the price increase for the DP for 7 nights. This is what I can't figure out. Maybe I am doing the math incorrectly??

I was planning for POP or POR then got the fd pin for Oct. I would have upgraded my qs dining I would have gotten at the value. It works out to around $300 more to stay at POR-which I booked.

So I'm not going nuts. I figured $100 for the whole week after upgrading FD was too good to be true.
