Price Bridging at DL

I've read over and over again that price bridging is not done at the DL Resort. However, I mentioned before that it was done for me back in April. I purchased the Ebates/Orbitz deal and saved $72 per annual pass this way. And I didn't even ask.

I told my cousin to give it a shot and she purchased a 3 Day Park Hopper from Velocity Tours for $243 and was given credit for the full $265.

I'm not sure why it doesn't work for everyone. I say, it's worth a shot!

It's always possible that a reseller pays Disney full price (or full wholesale) and then discounts what they sell. Disney sold the ticket expecting it to be sold at face value, so that's the value you'll get when upgrading. You're taking a chance, so I wouldn't go in expecting it, but it can be a nice surprise.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to update that we had the same experience. Bought our four day hoppers discounted through Velocity and upgraded to APs at the park and received the full $285 credit for them. (Purchased before the price increase).
