Previous das

I have had Das my last few trips to DW.. from what I understand we can apply online 30 days before
When I apply do I just ask to renew my das or do I have to go through the questions of why I need it
The last time I just went to guest services i explained I had it before he asked why and that was that
Took my ID and pic and off I went
Curious if they can look up and see my prior das.. just wondering with the new genie plus if they are getting stricter with das
I see plenty of people on here being denied.. with out das Dw is a no go for me

The first post in this thread is a summary of DAS changes since Genie+ began.
It includes information about the video DAS registration process which began in October 2021.
My daughter has been previously registered for DAS since it began in 2013 and was also registered in the previous GAC (Guest Assistance Card).
We have done in park registration onçe and video registration 3 times since October 2021. Sometimes the CM mentioned they could see she was previously registered for DAS and sometimes they didn’t mention it. Even when they could see it, we still had to discuss her issues.
Be prepared to briefly answer a question similar to this:
»What are your concerns with waiting in the regular lines? »

You may be asked some further questions for clarification; just make sure everything relates to issues you have with waiting in the regular lines

We've renewed it 3 times this year, same process as you stated, and we have to had to re explain every tjme. One of those times it wasn't even expired yet but would expire before our trip.

Yes. We had one also where it was not expired yet.
For that one, the CM noted they could see the DAS and first asked if anything had changed.
Then followed up with, « what are your concerns with waiting in the regular lines. »

I have need asked my needs for the das both times I renewed even though the cm could see I had a das before

I have always had to "re-apply" rather than renew even when it was just technically an extension. In addition, my DAS disappeared from my app 1/2 way through my last wdw trip and when I went to GR they could see that I had been approved and it had not expired but they still had to go through the entire application process.

I would be prepared to go through the entire process just in case.
