I can't remember if our DVC membership card allows us access to all the DVC resorts in Orlando. We will be without children for a few days and I would like to drive into all the resorts and just look around since we have time. Does anyone know if we will have any trouble driving in if we are not checking in? I know we can use the bus system but I would rather not, way to slow and inconvenient!

Are you staying on property? I keep my parking pass on the dashboard and show my KTTW card at the security gate and never have had a problem getting into any DVC resort. We often go to other resorts to visit or see Xmas decorations or shop or eat.

Unfortunatly not this time, we also own a non-DVC timeshare, and we are staying there this time.....

You might be able to walk around and eat at the resorts, but you cannot use the pool. And you might be limited to three hours or less for parking at that resort.

The only one I've had trouble visiting by car was CR/BLT -- they have an issue with people parking there to go to MK. If you have an actual restaurant rezzie, you can park there for a limited time. Generally, all the hotels and resorts are open to drop-in visitors to eat at the restaurants, shop at the shops, check them out for future visits, etc. But, not for parking to use the bus system or walk to a park, or to use the pool, as mentioned (you are supposed to be staying in a DVC resort to use the limited pool-hopping feature). There is a DVC example unit on the Boardwalk at BWV to look at, and I think there're still units to see at SSR, but not all resorts have that availability. But, it is fun to visit them to see the layout and features they have.

not really. parking can get crowded at many of the resorts. if you have a dining reservation there, they will let you in. otherwise, it depends.

as other posters have stated, the resort pools are off limits and i wouldn't expect to park at the BLT or a boardwalk resort due to crowding. (BLT won't even let you in as it requires key card access.)

best bet is probably to park at DTD and take a bus to the resort that you most want to check out. maybe take a bus from that resort to hollywood studios and take a boat to the boardwalk to see BCV and BWV and check out the BWV model there...
