well we just had the wonderful luck. Taking our Class C motorhome to the service center we hit a deer with 24 days to go on our trip. Hoping the insurance will look at the motor home tomorrow and help get it ready for our trip otherwise I don't know what we're going to do.

:confused3

One step at a time, depending on how bad the damage is, could it be driving like that safely. If the answer is yes, get the insurance approval and let them know you will have the work done after you return from your trip. That was how a friend handled it when they hit a deer 3 weeks before a big planned trip. Though it took some zip ties and duct tape to keep his headlight in place.

Sorry for the accident. UGH!

Just in case it's not fixed ask about insurance paying for a rental or maybe a cabin. It never hurts to ask.

I really feel your pain. DH hit a deer, really did a number on his car, he was ok, but 'very' shook up.

There are so many in our area and we have had many other close calls. Sure hope they can get you ready in time for your trip. We were leaving on a trip a few years ago and came close to hitting one with our MH not far from home.

:flower3:

Hope they can get it fixed up or the insurance provides atleast a comparable rental for you for your trip. I hate seeing plans get messed up because of an accident and insurance companies.

Thanks all for your warm hearts. Update, service center sees no major damage, more in the Cosmetics of the front end. More I thought about it, being a class c, pretty luck that it hit the front end / grill and not the actual walls of the camper. Will know more on Wednesday when insurance looks at it. 3 weeks to go

Insurance assessment has been completed and the RV will be at the body shop shortly.

:hourglass 21 days until liftoff.

The suitcase on wheels is home and ready to get packed. It's been a long 3 weeks.

Looking forward to pulling off the launchpad in 5 days. pirate:

1) Sorry to hear.
2) Hope you make the trip.
3) At least now, we all know Where The Buck Stops.

x2 glad that stressor is done!

Well, This has been a fun trip to plan for. :confused3

Working on the water system yesterday (sanitize and fill reserved water for travel). Anyway, had plumbing issues.

Took it back to the service center this morning and asked them to please look at and if at all possible at least get the plumbing functioning at hookup.

2 hours later, they were able to find the issue and fix (tight spaces are fun)pirate:

So hope nothing else occurs, ugh

:hourglass 2 days!
