I want to press the filler plants/leaves that came in my Mother's Day bouquet and they are green, fern like "stalks". I have instructions on how to press them and then frame them, but my question is, I want the leaves painted black? I have a can of shiny black spray paint and I want black leaves because that is what will go in my kitchen. Green just isn't the accent color in my kitchen (oak cabs, black appliances, black light fixtures).

So, should I spray paint the leaves before or after I press them?

Any help will be greatly appreciated :goodvibes

You should paint the leaves after they've dried out fully, otherwise they won't dry out and just go moldy instead :scared1:

Have fun with your flowers :goodvibes

super duper! thanks. i hope this "project" turns out as good as I have it pictured in my head
