Pressed pennies

HI all - I have read a bit about "pressed pennies"...do they press a WDW pciture on them??

Main question - can we use 1ps and 2ps or do they only take cents and quarters?

Plus i was reading a thread on the Theme parks board about your favourite disney senses (smell, sound etc.) and quite a few ppl put "Rome burning" as their fave smell.....can anyone enlighten me?!

1p is bigger (diameter and thicker) than a cent so I guess it wouldnt work I have done pressed pennies here (Stirling Castle et al) and they are wider and thicker so dont fit in the Disney pressed penny books very well.

There are loads of pressed penny locations. Some have characters, others are attractions, each EPCOT country has its own unique pennies etc. I would say it is impossible (and expensive) to collect them all. On our last visit we had kept our pennies from previous trips & polished them with brasso as the image was much better. The books are not littl kid friendly & when they get warm, the unused pockets sort of stick together so DD nearly tore a few, but she enjoyed watching them, especially as some of them have a crank handle you have to turn in order to press your penny.
