Is it just our kid...or are there others out there that are practically addicted to the penny presses in the parks? Our DD, nine years old on her last trip, made it her personal mission to get a copy of every design in every park before we left...and she did just that! Now our local zoo has a few presses as well...and she's conquered them too! I love it! There great little keepsakes and very inexpensive.

Do they put new press designs in every so often? I only as because our DD is wanting more when we go back next year and would rather not duplicate the ones she has already.

They do change the designs but I don't know how often. My daughter loves doing it as well. We prinited out a list so she could mark off the ones she has. I got the list from a web site but can't remember where?? If I find it I will post it or pm you with it. This makes great & cheap fun for them... She takes her list & decides what she wants & then hunts for them. This list also tells you where to locate them!!

Thanks!!! Great little site you sent me there. I'll be sure to pass it on to my DD...she'll get a real kick out of it!

Were is the list of pressed pennies? My DD would love it. She has been collecting them every where we go since she was 4 years old and we have 2 WDW books full of them.

My son got addicted to these on our last trip. In our 2 week trip he got a book & a half of these pressed pennies.
He would see a pennie machine & run up to them. I swear he could SMELL them a block away! LOL

Last summer my grandkids (5½ and 7) had a BLAST collecting pressed pennies at WDW.

I started saving my quarters right after I made our reservations, then just before we left I filled snack-size ziplock baggies with 20 quarter and 10 pennies. Each morning before we left our resort my daughter and I grabbed a baggie or two.

They are looking forward to collecting more pennies this summer.

can you please post the site with the listing of the penny presses my DD loves these to thank goodness she does not do the quarter presses LOL

Not only do the WDW parks have pressed pennies but so do the resorts and the shops in DTD!! They do change from year to year especially the quarter machines.

I live in TN too and there are pressed penny machines at all the attractions around here.Erich and Jonathan have quite a collection.Erich has a bunch from the Nahville Zoo too.:)

Check out this pressed penny site I found! WDW and all over the world! It's someone's collection but it's fun to look at "retired" pennies.http://www.janet.longpenny.com/index.html

We forgot our strolllers on our last trip in November and the pressed pennies really saved us! Our boys were almost 5 and they became obsessed with finding the next penny machine. We were able to walk all around EPCOT without a stroller because they were on a mission to find the penny machines in each country! I think there were 2 countries that did not have any when we were there. THey made sure to ask a CM!

We also let them get a penny pressed when we toured some of the resorts to see the different Xmas decorations! We filled empty film cannisters with quarters & pennies. This worked great! We only let each kid pick one penny at each machine. When we go back in Jan. I'm sure we will be looking for more machines!

If you are staying at a Disney resort, the front desk can print the most current list for you.

Great sites about the pennies guys!!! I've sent them all to my DD and she's making graphs and charts and plotting her plan of attack as we speak!

Yeah Baloo, the Nashville zoo ones are really nice. And somebody told her the science museum had them too...we haven't been there in some time...we'll have to check it out.

My sons too became addicted during our last trip. It was great though - we just gave them each the 51 cents and they had to pick a different one at every restraunt, attraction, resort, etc... There were a few times when we ran out of change though and the looks they gave us weren't pleasant. We bought a book to store them in and they LOVE going through them to see what they got.

The M & M mini candy tubes are perfect for holding a bunch of pennies and quarters. My daughter has over 200 from WDW and Disneyland. Yes, she's obsessed, but we are finding fewer and fewer that she needs! It gets cheaper every trip! :)

I am sure airport security wonders about my carry on. It has 4 rolls of quarters and 2 of pennies - enough for my DD and DN to do a 5 day vacation. I was on the other end of those looks once:p

Where at WDW do you get the pressed penny books that some of you discussed on this thread? Do they fit well, since they come out somewhat curved?

My kids are addicted to doing this also- but fortunately they haven't got them all yet. :)
I think I was kinda getting addicted to them too- why? Because it was a cheap way for them to get souvenirs constantly throughout our trip. Avoiding all the higher priced stuff in the stores they would want but really didn't need and would be bored with in 5 seconds after we left the store. LOL so I LOVED that they loved the pressing pennies thing. :)

I saw pressed penny books at all the stores we went to in MK atleast... we didn't go in every single store though!
As for the curved pennies fitting- I found that the slightly curved ones fit BETTER. Meaning once we got them in there- they never fell or slipped out.
The book we got was mostly for pennies but had one side for pressed quarters. I do not like it because atleast in THAT book (might be different if you bought a book solely for pressed quarters?) the quarter slots are made too big and the pressed quarters kept falling out! :(
