Pressed Pennies

Sadly, very few of the old crank machines left. Nothing really magical about pushing a button…kind of like new slot machines…lost all the appeal of gambling when I can’t pull the handle and hear the nickels banging…🤣😂

I saw some of the new machines around the park in April and some in the Grand Californian, too. I always used to get those at Disneyland and I agree the old crank machines were better.

Just to clarify, are there still some of the old fashioned penny machines? Dad and I God willing are planning a DL trip over my birthday next May. I realize there is a long time between now and then. Thank you everyone. Prayers each of you have safe and truly fun trips::MickeyMo

Update: I’ve found that the Disneyland app is the easiest way for me to search for the pressed coin machines. We’ve been to 2/3 of the coin machines at the resort. The app has been mostly accurate, with only a few machines that we couldn’t find or not exactly where the map showed. It seems Disney is really pushing the medallions and there are even medallion collector books. So far, all machines have been credit card or bills only. If you use credit card you have to purchase all available coins- anywhere from 3-8. The only machine I’ve used coins for so far was a quarter press inside a store at DCA called Gone Hollywood. There were 2 machines, one Starwars and one avengers with 3 coins each. I’ll update once our trip is complete! Thank you all for the tips!

Have a great trip, DisneyMamaintheDesert :)

Sadly it looks like there are no more old fashioned penny machines. I won't need to try and save pennies but will miss that.

Where did you find it? I was looking for it in the app but didn't see it.
