Pressed Pennies at SOG - bus access?

I've read conflicting reports about non-military access to SOG.

Will we be able to get on a SOG bus to go get pressed pennies?

If I were you i would take the monorail to the poly and walk across to the SOG and let them know you just want to get the pennies and they should help you

You won't a problem. We have gone recently to play golf, we showed our drivers lic. and they waved us through.

mommyrom - SOG has 6 different penny designs & a quarter, all military.

We've been collecting the pennies, and almost have all of them, SOG is one of the places we've never gone to because I wasn't sure if we're allowed.


AllyBri, we won't have a car, but it sounds like we'll be ok anyway.

In all the times I have been to SOG, I have never been asked for my resort ID to get on the bus. The best place to catch the bus is at the TTC. It runs every 15 minutes.

If you take the monorail to the Poly, make sure you ask for directions to the path to SOG. It is easy to get lost there. This last trip I did see one sign for the path. I have never been stopped on the path for ID.

As for driving in, have ID and tell them what you want to do. The resort is not"closed" to non military, in fact, the restaurants are open to everyone. They will give you a visitor parking pass and have you park in the lot to the right of the resort, golf course parking.
