Okay, so my dad and I are going to Florida this Presidents' Week to see the space shuttle launch scheduled for the 24th.
We're going to spend most of our time in the Merritt Island-Cape Canaveral area, obviously, since there's three possible days in a row that the shuttle can be launched. However, my dad said that if we either hear early in the morning that the launch has been delayed to the next day, or we still have a day or two after the launch and after seeing most of what's at the Cape, we can go to WDW!
Now, as I've mentioned several times before, I've only been to WDW once before, and that was under unusual conditions that no longer exist- it was Christmas 2002, when travel was still down because of 9/11, so there were very few lines at all (and we were able to stay at the Grand Floridian, because Disney was offering a lot of things cheaper.) In other words, I have no experience whatsoever with visiting the parks when it's crowded.
I really want to go to EPCOT, both because it's my favorite and because I want to ride Mission: SPACE and Soarin', which weren't there the last time I visited. (Also, I want to see if The Seas is still as cool as it was before the Nemo makeover, and I really want to watch Illuminations, which I never got to do.) However, I don't think it'd really be a proper visit to WDW if we didn't go to MK.
I know the parks are always crowded at Presidents' Week, and there might be even more people because of the launch, so will all of the guests make it hard to get around? Should we only plan on being able to visit one park?
