We normally travel during Thanksgiving weekend, but this past year we took advantage of the DVC AP price break and did a July 4th trip as well.

Considering a few things that are coming up this fall we opted to cancel our Thanksgiving 2018 trip and instead buy new AP's and do a trip during President's day week 2019, a F&W weekend in October(adults only), and Thanksgiving 2019(to go back to our normal annual trip and maybe catch Galaxy's Edge opening).

Having gone multiple times during Thanksgiving, I know what to expect during the holidays. Can anyone tell me what President's day week is like? We are booked Sat-Sat. What's the weather like? Crowds? Any special events around that time?

Festival of the Arts was going on during that time frame the past two years. No announcements (that I know of anyway) yet for this year.

It's crowded, but not Thanksgiving or Christmas crowded.

Weather...I've seen it be cooler and I've seen it be warmer. This year I wore shorts and only if I was out super early or late did I bother with a light hoodie. But then I live in NYC, so even upper 60s or low 70s felt warm to me!

Hey OP! I will c u next year!

Based on resort rates (and past experience) get ready for crowds and warmth....

I'm from NYC as well. Thats my ideal weather...not cold, but not sweaty!

Nice! I always specify because what is "ideal weather" to me would in all probability make someone from say Arizona be reaching for the coats and gloves.

We’ve gone Presidents Week every year for the last 4-5 years. Weather can be wildly different. We have pictures one year where we are in long sleeves, long pants, fleece jackets and gloves. That was unusual. Most years it’s shorts and t-shirts during the day, long sleeves or a light jacket early morning and at night. Crowds are busy busy busy but manageable. Lots of schools have that whole week off (as do we), plus the Princess Half Marathon is the second weekend.

We've gone during this week a few times since I'm a teacher and can only take school holidays. I actually found the crowds to be pretty mild compared to April break and summer break. The weather was very comfortable - I wore shorts and sundresses but brought a few cardigans for nighttime. It was great pool weather too!

We love presidents day week, crowds are so so, not heavy IMO. We've never had rain during February visits but it's been chilly, long sleeve or sweatshirt weather and shorts but we are wimps since we're from the south. We've never experienced it but it can be cold, just gotta check the forecast before you head out to see if you'll need jackets. We were also there again this past march and we wore jeans and long sleeves but again, it's what you are used to and we don't do well with chilly temps.

We went President's week this year. Weather was nice, maybe a bit cool in the morning/evenings but we swam comfortably in the afternoon. Crowds were more than I expected but we used FP as much as possible and it wasn't bad.

Any special events around that time?

FYI, the Epcot Int'l Festival of the Arts has ended President's Day Monday the last two years. TBD for 2019.

For the end of the week, you'll hit the runDisney Princess Half Marathon weekend crowds. The runs are 2/21-2/24 in 2019, the biggest day being that Sunday 2/24 which is the Half.

Have fun!

How does the week before President's week fare? 2/10-2/16? Thanks!

I will be there for that week, too. Prices are waaaaaaaayyyyyy down compared to Pres Week so I'm guessing considerably less crowds. That is to say, there aren't any "dead times" anymore, are there?
