Hi guys,

We arrive in Orlando on President's Day (15th Feb) and so our first week there will be President's Week (I think?!)...

As we are going for 18 days we are pretty flexible in our plans and so I am wondering if we should avoid Disney in our first week (although that might be a bit difficult as we will be gagging to go!!) and stick with US/IOA/BG/KSC/SW instead?!?! or will they all be much of a muchness?? :confused3

Should we do the more further afield places first? BG or KSC or will these just as busy?

Any advice please?

Thanks,

Ali :goodvibes

All parks will be busy that week. My best suggestion is to (1) avoid the early morning hour parks unless you go the early morning and then switch to a different resort and (2) go before opening so you are there at rope drop, get in the rides you want to do and then leave to do something else. As for US, I would recommend buying their front of line access passes.

We have been 3 times covering that week. Parks were fine as long as you got there early, very busy on Presidents' Day. Good sales on as well.

We went same week last week. Sunday was busy come lunchtime as was the Tuesday.

Monday was a nightmare, couldn't even get on most of the resort buses. Luckily for us the temperatures were hot and we had left snow behind here so we had a morning around the pool and then did DTD and went into parks for parades in afternoon which were busy but fine.

Wednesday onwards we found the parks to be ok, busier in the afternoon certainly but not unmanageable with early start and fastpass.

Twice we have stayed at Disney at this time. i would say people try and make it a long weekend at that time,so expect it to get busy from the thursday to the wednesday. We stayed clear of the major parks on the saturday and sunday and went to one of the water parks instead. We did go to MK on the friday but only because it was open early,we went on what we wanted then left for a day at our resort. Also your resort dining area will be VERY busy so, be prepared.
We found because we were at Disney for 16 days we didnt worry about it being busy beause we knew we would be there long after the crowds had left.

Thanks guys :goodvibes

I am going to sort out a final 'plan' sometime this week but I am thinking that we might do Seaworld on our first day (the Tuesday) as there are no major rides there that we go on, we just like to wander around and look at the animals etc and I will probably see if we can 'dine with Shamu'?!?!?!

And then possibly go to the KSC on the Wednesday, as again we are happy to have a leisurely wander around there.......

Thursday will be a rest/pool/shopping day and not sure about the Friday as I'm hoping things might have quietened off a bit by then but might do Busch Gardens and then we have got all the further afield places done :confused3

Does this sound like a plan??

Thanks for all your replies :goodvibes

Sounds like a plan to me.The crowds will be a lot quieter by the time you get to friday.Have fun.

I personally always think Presidents week is quieter than from March 1st onwards when their Spring break's start to happen all over the US. I would use the week Feb 22nd-29th for your Disney park time.
