President's Day Week Package - Book Now or Wait?

We plan to go during February Break 2015. A busy week, I know.
Planning to book airfare soon and wondering if I should book what I want now and apply a discount later, should one come out, or wait to see what comes and jump on it then?

We want POFQ River View most likely with DDP.

Last year, with a vacation planned elsewhere, we received a PIN for free dining during that time.

Thoughts?

Why wouldn't you book now? There is no disadvantage of having a ressie that you can change/cancel.
The reverse of that is you wait and what you wanted is gone.

If I was going regardless of whether there is a discount, I would book as soon as I was sure I was going.

Everyone kept saying that booking now versus waiting for a discount was "shooting yourself in the foot" and Disney won't release discounts if there is a demand.

Then Late Fall discount came out and nothing was offered except really expensive rooms or bunk beds. However, plenty of people were still able to switch their already booked reservations to the Late Fall discount. I kinda think I shot myself in the foot by not booking early and then seeing if the discount applied. For my next vacation, I'm doing this rather than waiting and worrying about a discount and then being stressed out that my first choice hotel isn't offered.
