I said "vent from school"

i deal with a lot of crap from people at school who dont even talk about real reasons to like a candidate.

"Goooobama!"

When I ask them what they hate so much about McCain they dont know.

"I hate McCain because he thinks hes so great just because a POW"
"Alrightie, hold up, I would like to know WHEN he said that, and I would like to know WHEN that was such a great thing to have happened to someone."


My point being,
Im sick of people dissing McCain in ways that arent to his beliefs, yet when it comes to Obama 1. I wouldnt point out the opponents personal flaws, im just not like that 2. Even if i did do that, I would be yelled at by people in my school for being RACIEST.


I wasnt talking about anyone on here, but rather at school.

Its absolutely sickening, the way someone SHOVED in my face how McCain is gonna die the day after he gets elected. The way she shoved it in my face was rude.

Im not saying "I LOVE MCCAIN HES SO AMAZING HES GONNA RULE THE WORLD SOMEDAY" but im also not saying

"MCCAINS GONNA DIE *laughs out loud obnoxiously* HES GONNA DIE, LIKE SERIOUSLY WHEN HE GETS IN OFFICE, HES GONNA DIE HES SO OLD"

I stopped talking to her.

"Until you learn to talk about some real issues as to why McCain is such the vilan or as to why you like Obama *other then he would be the first black president* then you can come back and talk to me. Otherwise, telling me that hes gonna die just because hes old, and you love Obama sooo much for no aparent reason, then Im not going to talk to you."


If i wanted to there was plenty of things i could say about Obama as to why he could die in office that are just as great of a risk as McCains.

People are like that with McCain also. They said they would vote for McCain and I ask them why. They reply basically with "Obama sucks!!" When I ask them what do they like about McCains policies they reply with "He was a POW!!!!"

Seriously. There is a large amount of POWs. Does that mean they all have the qualties to become President? No. Bravery is not they only good quality in a good president.

What I dislike about McCains campaign is that more than 70% is negativity towards Obama. Its either "Obama only made two trips to Iraq blahblahblah" or "Hi! Im a Prisioner of War! That makes me qualified!" I have only seen one or two commericals that say something about McCains policies.

Candidate A: Associates with crooked politicians, and consults with astrologists. He's had two mistresses. He also chain smokes and drinks 8 to 10 martinis a day.

Candidate B: He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.

Aww I heard that too. Prayers are with the family in such a stressful time.

But the democratic candidate for governor won 313 to 52 over his republican opponent.

I cannot wait for this election to be over, I certainitly wish I could vote, but off by a few months. The thing that bothers me the most is that its not even about the policies anymore, its all about "he black" "hes a prisoner of war" "shes crazy!" blah blah blah. My views are so twisted on each bc of what I hear from my crazy liberal friends and my other conservative friends, my parents etc. Now I'm sure this is probably said in this thread but I didn't read it all and need to rant about the election a bit haha. Regardless of who wins, America will change, but this seems to have been the longest campaign ever! Obama has won in my class and the school polls I have heard about, but that doesn't help me predict because younger people tend to be much more liberal/democratic.
