How do you feel about our current president and why do you feel that way????




I HATE him, and I don't care how stong of a word hate is. I'm against many of his policies, I think the stimulus package is going to do more bad then good, and I don't like how he's not keeping any of his campaign promises. He promised all troops out of IRaq by 2010, now most will still be there untill 2012!!!!! And I stil haven't heard anything about his promised tax cuts for everyone making less then $130,000.

I'm completely for him- he's just what this country needs. He's taking action right away, and in ways that make sense. he is most definitely keeping the promises he made in his campaign- his biggest promise was change, and he's bringing it, whether you like it or not. and at least he's trying to get them out, unlike mccain, who was pretty much in it for the long haul.

About the tax-cuts: does anyone making under 130k need a tax cut? NO.

not everyone was insulting bush for his policies, but his intelligence. how he got into office once, let alone twice, is beyond me.

Obama isn't foreign.
His mother was American and his father was African.
He was born in America.

Tom - Thank you for being mature. Obama is our president. You don't have to agree with his policies, but you should support him solely because he is YOUR president.

I like what Obama has been doing. I hope he keeps up the good work.

But why did people not like him? Because he was a christian?

As for Obama.....he is ok. I haven't found that he is living up to what he said, back in the election. I was told the other day that his approval rating has dipped below 50%.

How can you not support gay marriage? it doesnt effect you at all, but it does make the gay population's lives exponentially better. i, for one, am completely for people's happiness.

You dont like him because his name sounds foreign. are you kidding me? his name? what does that matter, at all? its not like he chose it. besides, i think its kinda catchy, and it sets him apart, but not in a bad way.

He's not a foreigner. if he was, he couldnt be president. just because he's half black doesnt mean he's the enemy. if he was half white, half irish would you care? of course not. the skin doesnt make the person, just as the name doesnt

As for Bush, I thought he was a good president and people are going to start to see that in years to come (not just because of Obama). The main reason he was so hated was because of the war and NCLB. The war would have never happened if CONGRESS didn't declare war, and there were democrats in congress at the time that voted for it. It wasn't just Bush's war.


Another problem I have with Obama is his experience. He was a one term senate memeber THAT"S IT. No exectutive or foreign experience at all!!!!!!!!!

i repeat: ITS ONLY BEEN TWO MONTHS. and he does have that economic stimulus. that's a huge change.

The economic stiumulus, the housing plan, the stem cell reasearch bill being overturned, I think thats a lot to be done in 2 months. I actually think he's moving too fast. He should have put more thought into the stimulus package, we didn't get to where we are overnight and its not going to get better overnight. The stimulus plan is a lot of what FDR did during the depression and most historians agree that FDR actually prolonged the depression. Obama should learn from FDR's mistakes, not copy them.


My english teacher the other day was comparing Obama to a dictator (I dont agree with everything she said). She said a lot of ictators seized power by being simple and she said thats how Obama got into office. He used the simple word of change and everyone loved that about him.

I was waiting for someone to say that. He's done a lot but its not new things. The stimulus package is like what FDR did during the depressino and with the rest he's being like Bill Clinton. Yes he's done a lot, but its not new stuff.
