Has anyone seen or know anything about the bouquets available here: http://www.essiesweddingflowers.com/WeddingHomePage.html ?

DH and I will be taking our "honeymoon" this Sept. We were married 24 years ago and never had a honeymoon. When our son goes to college this fall it will be the first time in our marriage it will just be "husband and wife" so we are finally going to go on a honeymoon.

We had a very small wedding and I did not have a bridal bouquet. I had planned to have a bouquet of 24 roses (arranged similar to a bridal bouquet) delivered to our room from WDW Florist. The bouquets available from this website are not that much more than real flowers. My only concern would be getting the arrangement home. We will be flying.

Would appreciate any info or experience anyone has with preserved roses.

Hi Laura,
I don't know anything about preserved roses, but I just wanted to say that I think it is wonderful that you are finaly going on your honeymoon after 24 years! I congratulate you that you are going to be celebrating 24 years! That is quite an accomplishment and I do hope they were happy!

I'm not sure what your budget is...but I had my bouquet preserved by Keepsake Floral, it cost about $500 (I chose a medium sized arrangement in one of the more expensive shadow boxes, but they also have smaller ones that are more reasonable.) Originally I had no intention of preserving the flowers, but the day after our wedding I couldn't throw them away. Keepsake will come to your hotel to pick up the bouquet (for a fee), or you can drop it off directly. That way you don't have to worry about traveling with semi-dry flowers in your carryon. First they professionally dry and preserve each flower, and they will call you a few weeks later to tell you what they were able to successfully save. After that you will have a phone meeting with a designer to discuss your preferences and design options/pricing. I had my flowers arranged in the shape of a heart (filled in) and they are inside a shadow box. They look beautiful and arrived in Illinois in one piece.
