My 6 year old was out playing with her friends today and brought me home a present. It was a jar of about 20 cicadas How do you tell them yuck?

LOL! I had my neighbors DD spend about 20 minutes in the yard the other day excitedly telling me all about the paper cup full of caterpillars she'd caught (while shoving said paper cup in my face). She was soooo interested in the creepy crawlies I just did not have the heart to say "EW".

the bug that comes out every 17 years.Not very pretty. Just think of cockaroaches with wings and red beady eyes.

There was an article in the Dallas Morning News about your little pest the other day. We have locusts but they come out every year and not nearly in the force that yours do!
