Prescription goggles or glasses in the waterparks?

My daughter has very poor vision and wears her glasses or her prescription goggles to swim and at our local waterparks. We have not been to Blizzard Beach since her eyesight has worsened and I am wondering if they will allow her to wear either her glassses or the goggles on the slides and lazy river. She is not able to wear contacts yet so if they won't allow them this will greatly impact her enjoyment of the park. If they don't allow them, which wouldn't surprise me as I understand for safety most waterparks do not, can I get a special needs card for her so she can wear them. It doesn't matter to her whether it's the goggles or the glasses just as long as she can see.

They are allowed.

I would very strongly suggest that whatever she wear be firmly attached somehow to her body. We normally get many pair of glasses and several sets of goggles turned in to Lost and Found at Typhoon Lagoon Guest Services daily. And if they get caught in the filters they may not be recoved until after Park Closing or even get through the filters and chewed up by the pumps.

Not necessarily a lanyard around the neck, but possibly some sort of strap or lanyard around an arm in case the glasses or goggles fly off.

lazy river and wave pool no one will say anything but on the slides I had to take them off and hold them in my hand. If she has presc. goggles they may be allowed to stay on. If only glasses, if she is young enough that you will be going on but you don't think she is old enough to hold on to them down the slide she could wear them up till she gets on and then you could hold them till the bottom and once you meet up at the end give them back to her. You don't need to see anything on the way down anyway!

I would suggest a strap like for sports for her glasses if she will be wearing her reg. glasses in the water, esp. for a kid so she doesn't have to worry and can just have fun.
