Prescott's Make a Wish Trip!!!

OK, so I have driven my family crazy with Disney questions :rotfl2:. I am getting so excited to have dates and a plan. We can actually ask for time off, now!! It is real and only 93 days away! So, my biggest question is we are extending by 3 nights and we want to stay onsite. So, we are trying to decide between the Fort Wilderness Cabins or the Art of Animation family suites. Here is some info.
-We will only have 1 afternoon at the resort, we plan on going back to GKTW on the day we check out to attend the Winter Party!
-The next two days we will be out and about the entire day! -
-There are 6 of us!
-We will be doing breakfast in the room 2 mornings, we are good with cold cereal and fruit.
-The cabins are cheaper.
-We will probably do the dining plan, cause my boys can eat a ton!
-If we stay at A of A we would stay in Cars or Nemo.
-If we stay at cabin, we won't have to unload Prescott's medical stroller. Depending where we are at A of A depends on if Prescott will need the stroller.
-Course you can always throw in that we could stay at Bonnet Creek for much cheaper, but we will loose our trip insurance money $160.
Oy!
So, thankfully, I've had this to mull over in my mind, as this week has been tough. Prescott ended up in ER with viral pnuemonia on Monday night. Never a dull moment! But he is doing better, still not 100%. Ok, so there is my midafternoon rambling. Thanks for hanging out on my pretrip. ;)

Sorry Prescott has been sick  Glad he's doing better, and praying he feels better very soon. You may want to post your question on the Resort forum :)

Woohoo! Little over 2 months and we will be there! I can't believe it! I think I have my itinerary set, so I want lots of opinions. The plans are not in concrete. It will depend on how Prescott is feeling. If he is having a good week, we should be fine for lots of busy days. If he happens to be sick, then yeah, my plans will be toast:
Friday- Fly out
Saturday- Spend the entire day at GKTW
Sunday- Magic Kingdom
Monday-Sea World come back early to GKTW
Tuesday- Epcot
Wednesday- Universal come back early to GKTW
Thursday- Spend morning at GKTW and checkout. Go to TRex for lunch. Check in at Art of Animation and come back to GKTW for holiday party.
Friday- AK
Saturday- DHS to enjoy Star Wars Weekend
Sunday- Fly home
So, what do you think? Busy, I know. But we do have 2 whole days devoted to taking it easy, so I think we will be good. Planning everyone's outfits and meals is my current obsession. Prescott is so excited to go. He doesn't understand how long we have to wait. So, we are telling him when it gets warm. He keeps saying all of his brothers names cause he is excited to share with them. Fun! Fun! Fun!

We have three things in common!

1) I have a son with neurodegenerative disease. He is 14 now. He had is MAW in 2004.
2) I have a daughter with type 1 who is on an animas pump. She is almost 19 and was diagnosed at 10.
3) .....the most important one.........We are going to be at DW May 28th - June 4th! :)

Glad Prescott is having so much fun anticipating the trip. :) Hope he has a wonderful week during the trip , so you can do everything you have planned.

Wow! Someone that "knows"! Are you getting super excited. Did you stay at GKTW in 2004? If so, are you planning on going back as an alumni? You'll have to tell it how it is, we won't be in Florida until 5/31. Thanks for stopping by and saying hi!

I wish I had the time to attempt to make one for his wish trip. Oh well, isn't it cute, though? We had a great Easter!

Woohoo! Waiting for FedEx to deliver Prescott's communication device. It is his 1st and I am so excited for him to start using it. I am going to load that thing up with pictures of Disney, so he can talk to us about it! Good timing!!!

Well, Prescott is sick again. Plus, we had an ER visit that ended up with an unexpected surgery last Sunday. Poor kiddo! I am going to quarantine everyone until we leave. I don't want him sick on his trip. Please say a prayer for my little man that he can stay healthy for the next 4-5 weeks. That said, we leave in 29 days!!!!! Yep, very excited! I can't wait. Tying up loose ends as far as reservations and plans. Now to get through the month of May.:)

We are ready to go! We have 6 days till our adventure begins as we are staying out of town before flying out super early. We have our itinerary set, reservations made, clothes packed (mostly). Just waiting...... I am kinda worried, though. This has been something that we have looked forward to for over 6 months. When Prescott was sick or coming out of surgery we would help ease his fear with "When we go and see Mickey....". Not that I am sad or ungrateful, but just kinda sad. I hope someone knows what I am saying. Anyway, we have made some shirts for the boys so if you see a family with 4 boys in matching shirts and a medical stroller, stop me and say hey are you nuts4wdw? :rotfl2: Any tips? Advice? Don't forgets? Here is a pic of my boys on Easter.

I hope you guys have an AMAZING time!! Maybe we will see you there as we arrive a couple days after you!

Tips: Just take it easy, you will not be able to do everything. Enjoy Give Kids the World, because it will be a once in a lifetime, you can go back to visit, but can only stay once. Be prepared for the heat, we took frozen water bottles & we wet wash cloths & froze those also, put them in a plastic bag, it is nice to cool down with those, just wrap one around your neck. Drink plenty of liquids, sunscreen, go early to the parks to help with the crowds.

Have fun!!!!:cheer2:
