prepurchase photopass cds?

I was under the impression from reading the boards that buying the photopass cd BEFORE the trip is a possibility, but my travel agent gave me a code to use to save $50 off a cd AFTER our trip. So I was just wondering if I need to take action before our trip in 4 days or wait until we get back.

I had the same question about a month ago and someone told me that Disney sends you an E Mail about a month before your trip... I was told to just keep a look out cause it says nothing about photo pass, Its just a random can't wait to see you Email I guess...
