"Premonition" with Sandra Bullock. Possible spoiler

1)Linda doesn't take the kids to school that last day, Jim does. Don't know when the face cutting happened. I assumed later than that day at the beginning of the movie.
Nope, her face was cut while dad was alive. He was at the hospital. And the mom did take the kids to school on Thursday - her first day. It was the beginning of the movie.
2) Jim's head got cut off in the crash. I figured it flew out the window, or the explosion knocked it out of the car, meanwhile they salvaged the remains & put it in the casket. we never do see the lower section.
It didn't fly out the window on impact, no parts of him did. Then they blew up in a giant explosion. Yet, his head still rolls out in decent shape.

Help!

Yes, mom did take the kids to school the first day of the movie, but I remember her coming downstairs that last day to read a note left for her that Jim had taken the kids to school already. Then he stopped at the insurance company to get/change that life insurance policy. It was after that, that she called him & followed himd down the road, wasn't it?

Also, during explosions, things get torn apart & stuff can go flying quite a ways. So I figured they later found his head in a ditch somewhere. I'm macabre too. :rotfl:

Right. And that was Thursday - her first day, the day after the husband died. The kid got the cuts while dad was still alive, so she should have had them Thursday morning.

That is the Mom's last day - Wednesday, the day the husband died.

Yes, then he died. But even though no parts of him went flying, there was still enough to make the casket heavy and unweildy...and, of course, his head was in decent shape.

:lmao:

I'm not an expert on explosions, but if he was in that car when it all blew up, you'd think at least that he'd have been burnt.

I don't know. Maybe I'm missing stuff.

Right. And that was Thursday - her first day, the day after the husband died.
 Who takes their kids to school the day after their father dies? Are you sure about that time line?

Or, at least the husband should be missing stuff. :rotfl:

OK, the dad obviously cannot be taking the kids to school when he's dead. He died on Wednesday, but Linda doesn't find out until Thursday. Thursday is the first day we see. Linda's kids wake her up, the older one is worried they'll be late for school, Linda gets up and takes them. Later on, she finds out Jim died the day before. That's the beginning of the movie.

Since the kid got the cuts while Jim was still alive, she ought to have had them on her face Thursday morning. Linda should have woken up to see her kid's face covered with cuts, but doesn't. What the heck. Why weren't they there? I dunno.

Also, when Linda talks to her friend on the phone that morning, they talk about it being Thursday, which doesn't throw Linda for a loop at all. If her days are all out of order, shouldn't it have started there? Shouldn't she have been saying, "No, it is Wednesday."

That's another problem...did Linda have 2 Wednesdays? One regular one and the one we see at the end of the movie where Jim is blown up?

Okay, I haven't seen this movie but just reading the thread makes my head hurt so I think I'll pass. :headache: :rotfl:

I watched this movie on a transatlantic flight during the middle of the night. I rewound it three times and STILL was confused. I thought it was sleep deprivation but reading this thread makes me think that it was just WAY too difficult to understand--and I just picked the worst possible situation in which to watch it. :lmao:

It's been a while since I've seen this movie, but I seem to remember thinking that she was able to change some things as she realized what was happening. I'm pretty sure that was my conclusion.

I think the final proof of that is the end because at the beginning of the movie they hadn't been doing anything to result in the ending, but after she figures out what's going on & what might happen to him, she initiates something. Does that make sense?

..........

That's the ultimate irony, isn't it? That she was the one that had him on the phone, told him to turn around, to get out of the car, etc. is what causes him to be where he is and have the accident. That's why I said I didn't like it.
