Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

A quick observation from our experience with the Platinum Plan:
1. Most if not all CM's have never dealt with Platinum guests; be prepared yourselves.
2. Check to make sure you have "All" voucher cards. Yes! you need vouchers for La Nouba(premium & Platinum), photopass CD pin(platinum), Richard Petty Experience(Platinum) & Fantasmic Preferred Seatings(Platinum)
3. Carry some cash with you! On our last night of the trip, we did the Firework Cruise(Platinum) and had a wonderful time, but regret not tipping our captain more because we were short on cash!:scared1:

Has anyone recently done the Fantasmic seating with the Platinum plan? Is it just the same seating area offered by the dinner packages?

Our seats at La Nouba were not front and center. We were seating at section 204 row FF. Great seats!

Since posting that, I had completely forgot (don't ask me how) that La Nouba isn't performing the nights we're on platinum, so they will be giving us gift cards in the amount of what the tickets would have cost, which we'll just use to cover tips at our dinners. We're doing a split stay, so later in the week we're going to see La Nouba. I signed up for their free online "cirque club" and they were running a special, so got our cat. 2 seats (also section 204, row JJ) for $53 each! I'm assuming the gift cards will be valued at the normal pricing, so might have even saved a little more money :thumbsup2

Another quick question, did you have a boat to yourselves or have to share with other people on the fireworks cruise? I'm not entirely sure how these work, and what would be an appropriate tip for the captain.

I didn't use the cards for Fantasmic. I want to save them for a "surprise" trip with DH. The cards have an expiration date of January 11, 2011.

We were supposed to share the boat with a couple(with the same plan), but they cancelled. We got the boat all for ourselves. We didn't carry much cash all week long. Among the 3 of us, we managed to pool $20 cash as tip. NEVER at any point of the cruise when our captain ever hinted/mentioned tips. Our captain gratefully accepted our gratitude when disembarking the boat. I posted some firework cruise pictures on my TR link. please check them out.;)

Thanks! That is great news! Fantasmic doesn't really fit into the 3 days we have planned with Platinum, but would fit later in the week and I didn't really want to do the dining plan. :goodvibes

Are any of the other vouchers you get still good beyond your Platinum/Premium dates?

I don't see why you can't use the vouchers beyond your plan dates. When we turned in those cards for Richard Petty and Cirque du Soleil, we didn't even have to show our KTTW cards.
We used our old photopass card throughout the week leading to our platinum plan. There's a separate platinum photo pass card within the voucher package(w/pin to redeem your free CD online) You are not required to use that "one" photo card. The platinum photo card has the pin on the back of the card. Be sure to save it.

Just wondering what you all think of doing this. We currently have 2 rooms booked at CBR for a week with 4 adults total. We were thinking of booking 1 night in the middle at a Value resort with the prem. package. We would just keep our rooms at CBR so there is no chance of a move plus we do have 2 rooms.

I have a question on the meals. It appears that all TS are considered 1 meal even those otherwise requiring 2 TS uses (HDDR and the signature places) Is that true? Also, the description states 1 of each type of meal. Can you book 2 dinners?

How does it work for booking tours etc? Do you just state the res. number and not prepay? THANK you for any help with this.

Does anyone think the 2 res. will be a problem (the 1 night we really won't use the hotel, just the extras)
I was thinking of putting the lead person one of those not the lead person on the CBR res. just in case. Thanks again!!!!

That sounds like a great plan!! If you don't have a vehicle, you would need to take a taxi over to the Value first thing in the morning to pick up your stuff, but sounds like a plan!!

Do you know the answer about the meals? Just wondering if you can have 2 dinners or not. Also, I've read where people have had trouble with having 2 res. and clearing out rooms. We actually will never even use the Value for the 1 night, but it's worth the $ since we won't have to move plus we have 2 rooms at AP discount at a Mod. We do have a car so that's not a problem. Have you actually done this yet? I don't recall if you mentioned your dates THANK you!!

Disneyfan55, you have a great plan going there :thumbsup2

As far as booking your activities/tours are concerned, you will need your Premium Plan reservation number to book the ones which require "Pre-payments" We were asked a few times to have a CC to guarantee our ADRS. You know, the usual few restaurants, like Cali-Grill and CRT...etc. For Cirque du Soleil, the only way to get the seating assignments, is your reservation number. Just have your confirmation number handy when calling the Recreation dept.

We had 1 lunch and 2 dinners with our 3 meal credits plus 2 snack to use during our one day plan. Your best bet is 2 dinners and a lunch.

THank you! Do you think there will be an issue with the 2 res. (one at the Value for the one night for the package) and our 2 rooms that we're staying in. Also, only 1 TS for any restaurant, is that correct. Have actually gone yet? It just sounds too good to be true!

Oh, just read on a different thread that there "could" be an issue with a guest being the primary name on two different resorts.

So just in case, book the Premium Plan reservation in the name of one of the secondary guests of the CBR rooms.

Yes, that is what we were going to do (I just read it as well!) I just hope no problem. We will be staying the the 2 main rooms anyway so it doesn't really matter on the value, but I always worry!! Have any of you actually done this yet?

Yes, it is unbelievably AMAZING!! We had the platinum plan for one day and was able to eat lunch @ Kona, dinner @ Victoria and Alberts(regular dining room) and another dinner at Fulton's Crab House. All our meals came with appetizers, entrees, soft drinks(some places have specialty non-alcoholic drinks) and desserts. We could eaten at V& A twice if we wanted to. :dance3::dance3: That's a $125/pp meal right there.

We will be doing premium so I don't the V&A is included but I know my son in law wants Fultons, they are doing a Segway tour and I know they will want another Signature Dinner. I think we may do the MK tour as well. So for the money it's more than worth it. I know there can be a few other items squeezed in as well. Did you book the plan in the middle of a stay or not?

You are going to love Fulton's. We were able to order oyster on the half shells as our appetizers. :cool1: There's no limit to how many oysters you can have, but we went conservative and got 6 pieces each. :rolleyes1 To the left of the check-in podium(Fulton's) you will see the seafood display fridge. Check it out!

We started the week with Deluxe DDP and finished the week with one night Platinum which the following night Room Only.
