Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

FOR ANY THAT HAVE ALREADY DONE THE PREMIUM PKG:

Did any of you attach multiple day park passes to your Premium package? If so, did you need to request EARLY TICKET pick-up?

We are doing our package on our second night, so booked arrival room-only at POP, then Premium w/8 day passes. We had been told we could access those passes the day before by going to a park ticket window and request early ticket pick-up (confirmed by a WDTC agent and a front desk CM at POP). HOWEVER, I am now being told there is NO WAY to get those passes a day early as they are attached to a package and cannot be pulled up on the computer or accessed in any way by ticket windows, nor can the resort release them early.

We based our arrival day activities on getting tickets early. Now our choices are:

1) leave it alone and do no parks on arrival day; request POP refund the 8th day of the pass since we will only be able to use 7.

1) leave it alone; us our 2 GAD vouchers (were saving for FP use) to get into Epcot on arrival day; request POP to refund last day.

3) drop 8-day from package; add 8-day to room only arrival day ressie; will be left with the mandatory 1-day pass from Prem Pkg, but can use later. This option adds $168 to our cost.

4) drop 8-day from package; use GAD vouchers to buy 8-day passes on arrival day (may upgrade 1 to AP). Will still have mandatory 1-day, but will NOT have to pay additional $168 as we will get GAD credit.

Any thoughts/suggestions/input?????

2ofus, I know who can give you a good answer to your ticket questions? = Cheshire Figment=the ticket master. Post a question where cheshire figment can see it..:thumbsup2

I am getting close to my travel dates!!:cool1: I will do my premium package on Aug 25 & 26. I have a tour booked each day. When I got my paperwork in the mail from Disney, it said 1 tour... I though I could do as many as I could schedule? Sammy Duvall--same thing. Anyone have problems doing more than one tour or water activity? Is there any thing (voucher) that you need to show other than your room key? Will wait staff know at restaurants what you are entitled to with the premium plan, or will I have to bring something there as well?

Thanks!! :goodvibes

Someone had some explanation about what the "one tour" means in the papework, and I don't remember what that was, but basically, ignore it. You are entitled to as many tours and activities as you'd like!

You won't need any vouchers or anything more than your room key. When I called to schedule watersports with Sammy DUvall's they even said I could do more and asked if I'd like to schedule addtional activities. I had to give a CC # to hold the reservation but they reminded me to bring both premium plan room keys when I checked in. The second day we did watersports I didn't even have to present the keys because they already had the information.

I had made cirque reservations over the phone before we left but a day or two after we checked in at Pop there were envelopes waiting for us at the front desk with cards to redeem cirque tickets. I am not sure if we would have had to have those or not since we already had reservations.

Every place we dined asked us if we were using any disney dining plan and I told them we were doing the premium package. They all knew what we were entitled to and had no problem explaining it to us.

Our entire stay (myself and my wonderful friends Disney73 and Dawn) was so magical and nearly every day was filled with some extra Pixie Dust (for example, the unexpected Boardwalk view villa with the straight-on view of Spaceship Earth!). But like any trip there were just a few minor glitches - one being at Cirque du Soleil. Anyone who has a Cirque show scheduled, DO take along your confirmation/reservation number and assigned seat numbers. I think that was the ONLY event we neglected to take along our confirmation, and wouldn't you know at the Box Office they had no record of our reservation! We had vouchers (they look like park tickets), but the confirmation is NOT accessible from those voucher tickets. Anyway, they did of course assign us new seats which were very enjoyable but that did cause us a bit of stress. So everyone who is using the Premium Plan to attend the Cirque, remember to take along your confirmation code and assigned seats with you to the Box Office! :)

This is true! The positive this was that the seats they gave us were better than the ones we originally booked! But indeed this was the only time I did not carry my page of confirmation numbers along with us since I just wanted to carry my wristlet:rolleyes1

Great line up!
regarding room assignment on the second night: Let them know when you check in for your premium plan on the first day that you will have a back to back room reservation and ask to have the same room if possible. Don't wait until you recheck in on day 2.

Just in case anyone is wondering, I was playing around with 2011 package prices online and it does appear that you can still add the premium and platinum plans to a one night reservation for 2011 (with at least a 1 day ticket purchase as well).

I know some of us are nervous that they will eventually find a way to end the gravy train, but so far so good! :)

According to mouse savers there is this change to the available tours: The lineup of tours included in the Premium and Platinum packages has changed slightly: Mickey's Magical Milestones has been dropped, but Inspiration: Through Walt's Eyes, Gardens of the World (seasonal) and Disney's Yuletide Fantasy (seasonal) have been added. Disney's Holiday D-Lights (seasonal) has also been added for Platinum packages.

here is my plan.. please advise! The thing is we going to stay for 3 night, with the platinum plan in the middle of the stay.. we have to change the key 3 times including the first night. However, I dont' think I have a choice because some of the activities need to schedule on that specific date!! what do you guys think about my plan? too much?

Are you/husband staying in a different room from sister/BIL on the platinum plan? Just checking because if not, I am 99% sure the Richard Petty experience is only available to ONE person per reservation. So if you're staying in the same room, both of them won't be able to do that unless one pays out of pocket.

I think your plan looks good but my one concern is if you will be able to make it to La Nouba at 8:30 with at 6pm reservation at Victoria and Albert's. I've never been but I have heard it can take 2-3 hours to dine there. I am assuming you will have your own car? I still think this might be cutting it close.

I just noticed you have narcoosee's scheduled for 6 and a cruise at epcot set for 8pm... We dined at Narcoosees last week. We had a 7:15 reservation, got seated probably around 7:45 and made it out just in time to watch the 10 pm fireworks from the boat dock (right outside the restaurant). We didn't even order appetizers, that was just entrees and dessert! Granted, it might not take everyone this long but I dont seen anyway you could be in and out of there in an hour and a half or so and then have enough time to drive over to epcot. I dont know if you are interested in the wishes cruise at all but that would be a LOT closer to your dinner reservation.

No problem! :thumbsup2

And everything else you have planned looks like a lot of fun! I'll be doing the platinum too in 6 short weeks, and am very excited to finally get to eat at V&As! You'll absolutely love the Dolphins in Depth tour, it is informative and fun. They will tell you many times the interaction part is strictly up to the dolphins, but our guide said it is EXTREMELY rare (as in it only happened with her once!) that both dolphins will not participate.

Thanks for the reply.. I actually worry about the same thing. . so I am thinking maybe I should cancel the La Nouba or anyone think maybe I can pick up the tickets from the box office before the show and then if we really going to be late , at least we can get in to the show just for missing 10 or 15 mins?

Why don't you switch and do the 6pm la nouba and the 9pm victoria and alberts?

Does anyone know where the Fantasmic! seating is for the Platinum package? Is it just the same seating area that the dinner packages use, i.e. the section on the far right?

My husband wants to do this seating if we book Platinum, mostly because he never wants to wait and likes that we only have to show up 30 minutes before the show. But what kind of seats would we get at that late time?
