Premium Plan for One Night Just for the Tours, LaNouba, etc.??

I don't know, call CRO and ask. I was just told "you can always upgrade any reservation" but renting points is it's own animal. If you can't you could always think about a one night reservation at the camp grounds with the premium plan. Keep the other room and just leave the site empty. You can more than make up in value the cost of a camp site!

Will Disney let your name (or spouses name) be attached to 2 separate reservations during the same week with non consecutive dates?

Seems like I've read here that it was not allowed. I hope it is though.

Did they tell you can add the platinum plan to a room that was booked with an AP discount??? I thought you couldn't do this. Please let us know when you add it if it works out ok. I know I looked up some rates with the AP discount through the AP site and although you could add the two dining plans there was no way to add platinum/premium package. Do you think if you call they can add it manually?

Sorry to raise hopes and then dash them. Just an AP package, which means no park tickets need to be added to make it a package.

Well... I have done it. Back before they switched value FD rooms to QS we booked a value just to get the free dining (2 A plus 2 A kids).

Can someone please verify that the Premium Plan includes unlimited Bass guided fishing excursions??

I am reading 10% off in one place and unlimited on another. :confused3

Hubby NEEDS to know. Thank you! :)

Unlimited.

The 10% thing is because ALL packages come with that.

2010 Premium .pdf see page 5, green box with yellow text to the left.

Thank you HaleyB!

I booked 7 nt FD @ Por and was perhaps looking to book a 1 nt Premium (Campsite) in between. I was concerned with Disney seeing our names in system on 2 reservations.

As promised, I got a response from my IPO. Behold...

Dumela!
We do give our Platinum Plan guests who are booked in regular rooms access to the club level at this time. This is not necessarily a benifit of the package but at this time it is the policy of our managers. We do not anticipate a change at this time but we cannot guarantee that it will not change before you arrive. We hope to be able to offer you this additional service.

That is good to know, we'll be doing a platinum stay there in late September. What exactly are the perks of the club level and lounge? I've seen them mentioned before but never knew exactly what made them so special? :confused3

I also wanted to lay out our scheduled plans for our two platinum days, see if anyone had any tips or suggestions! We're staying 9/24 at AKL on platinum, then 9/25-10/3 at POP on DxDDP. La Nouba is dark on our dates, so we'll be using the gift cards we recieve to buy tickets the following week.

Fri 9/24
Arrive in Orlando at 10am
(pick up rental car, on site at airport)
Check in to AKL

Backstage Safari at AK 1pm-4pm

AK Rainforest cafe 415pm (using platinum credit)

Swedish massage 6pm at AKL

Illuminations Cruise 815pm (wanted Wishes, all spots already booked :sad1:)

Portobello 1030pm (using platinum credit)

Sat 9/25

Early check in at POP for 2nd part of stay, need to do this as we only purchased a 1 day ticket with the platinum plan, and need our new KTTW cards to be able to get into EPCOT.

Around the World Segway 815am

The Wave for lunch 12pm (using DxDDP credit, may switch to somewhere else)

Horseback riding 230pm

Parasailing 430p
PWC rental 5p

V&A's Dinner 830pm (last platinum credit)

I've changed this stuff too many times already, hoping to leave it alone now, but open to suggestions!

Your plan looks good! Did you make all the ADRs already? I might push parasailing up(lessen the chance of pm thunderstorm) and eat lunch just a bit later.

Segway@Epcot 8:15-10:30
Parasailing @CR 11:30-12:15(depending party size)
Lunch@Wave 12:30 - 2:00
Horseback riding @FW 2:30-3:30
PWC @4:15-5:00+/-
V&A's @8:30

If you tried for the earlier seating for V and A's you would be able to go to Illuminations with priority seating...
I second the suggestion to move up the parasailing and eat while you are there, good idea! Either that or eat lunch somewhere in Epcot after your tour (Tutto Italia? or Coral Reef) and then head over for parasailing.

I'm confused? So the 1 day tickets aren't mandatory if you're an AP?

Right, if you have an AP you do not have to add tickets in order to book a package. I confirmed this is true for Platinum and Premium plans, I always knew it was true for dining plans.

So with an AP you don't need tickets to do a plan...I THINK you can stay at DVC on rented points and get the DDP without a seperate ticket so would this plan work:

Day one: Check in room only at POFQ or POP
Day two: Check in same room with Premium
Day three:Check in room only again and finish premium credits that day

Then on Day four we could move to the DVC room and get the dining plan without buying a seperate ticket for that stay? (We would buy a 7 day pass with the Day two Premium one night stay.) Would this work?

Yes that would work, however if I were you (unless you want to avoid having to move to a new resort while you are still on the plan) I would just checkin to the DVC rental (with dining plan) on Day three. You could use the extra dining credits for that day to dine at another signature restaurant.

You shouldn't have to buy any extra tickets for your DVC stay.

Pleeeeeease don't do this. It is so hard to get campsite reservations as it is. To book a site and not use it, is really rude.

how did you confirm this was true??? We have annual passes but were told we needed to purchase at least a one day ticket to add on the premium plan.

That's a good idea, plus it would give me some counter service credits to use on the second day for lunches. Thanks!

I booked the DDP and asked if I could upgrade to Platinum later if we decided to. I was told I could in 2010 and they don't know yet about 2011. So crossing my fingers it is A) correct info and B) remains true in 2011.

I am going to try to upgrade it that way in about 10 days, so I will report back. Unless I have to wait until 2011 package prices are out, in that case you will have to wait a bit longer. But I am going to try it, so I'll report back once it is booked.

The CM recommended booking DDP and then upgrading, not sure why unless it has to be done in that order.

yes. i will be anxious to hear. As a DVC member with annual passes I do not need to buy park tickets to get the DDP. But I couldn't use my dvc points to use the Premium Plan. I had to Purchase at least 1 night at a resort plus a 1 day park ticket.

OMIGOSH -- please don't do this. The number of campsites is quite limited compared to other on-site resorts and availability is always an issue. In these hard economic times, camping is the only way some folks can afford a family vacation to Disney.
