Just wondering if anyone has received any word on whether Dolphins in Depth and Aqua Seas tours are available yet. My son has reservations for both of these tours on November 17th. He has not received any cancellation call, at least not YET.

I have dolphins booked for the 19th and sea aqua booked for 22nd I think it is and I haven't heard anything yet either. Hope it happens!

We were booked for Dolphins and Seas Aqua back-to-back on the 15th and got both a call and email today canceling. I have no idea what to do to fill in that spot since my kids are 13 and 15 so they aren't old enough for most of the tours and for those they can do you need to use park admission and I don't want to spend over $350 just to get in the park to do a tour.

Looks like a long night figuring out a new schedule and a call to the IPO tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!

That just stinks....are you doing pairasailing and wakeboarding? Sammy Duvalls is at the Contemporary resort. The boys may like that.

Also at Epcot is the segway tour and behind the seeds tour. You can do fishing excursions and sea raycers next door to Epcot at Yatch Club in the Boardwalk marina...Also, mini golf is close to there as well...

There is also a segway tour at Ft. Wilderness, as well as horseback riding and carriage rides in that area.

I'm sorry this has happened. I KNOW how much plainning and time goes into a trip.

I did it! I survived the plan! But it wasn't smooth sailing.

Day 1 - check into Poly go upstairs to Kona cafe for Tonga toast and discover Free WIFI
After my dolphins and seas aqua tours were cancelled I swapped over to Backstage Magic. This was reasonable. If you know anything about Disney it maybe a bit repetitve. Got to see the maintenance sheds, costuming, behind the American adventure :-) looked at a ToT car sitting in a garage, lunch at Whipering Canyon :-) the utilidors, the nursery sheds etc. This tour does not get you on any rides.
then went to v&a for a fabulous dinner :-) then on the fireworks cruise to watch Hallowishes - and finally met Kungaloosh.
Then went to the Poly to go drinking with kungaloosh and I kept her up past her bedtime.
Next morning - check out of the Poly {discover that V&A have charged me and have to get this reversed) and go have a speedy bfast at Chef Mickey. Go to Sammy Duvalls for the jet ski excursion :-) really enjoyed this - they give you a tour of Bay Lake and 7 Seas Lagoon for about 40 mins. Then let you hoon around in this boring little patch before waving us back in. I say US cause I went with Kungaloosh!
At this point SD's say "someone did tell you that the paraglider boat is out of action being serviced?" Well. No. No one did. Anyway they offered to honour the booking for later in the week when they had their boat back.
Plenty of time to get over to Fort Wilderness Segway Tour - 2 hours of really good fun! I was the only on the tour - nice :-) was pretty tough on the feet though.
Then check in at OKW. Then a facial at Saratoga Springs. Despite my making the booking myself, having a confirmation code and the Poly IPO confirming the booking on my itinerery, SSSdenied knowledge of my booking - fortunately no one else was there and they took me immediately. I missed most of it cause I fell asleep!
Then to La Nouba - way better than I feared - ESP. The little girls in green - WOW
Then to Fulton Crabby Shack for Crab! :-)
Then I slept it all off at OKW
So - lessons learnt - doable. Made very easy with a car (although my car made horrible grindy noises and the oil light kept coming on. The car care centre fortunately exchanged it - giving me an upgrade in the process). I had lots of little things go wrong - be patient. Have a fun time

So I called IPO this morning to add some things and move others around to make the schedule work after the cancellations over at the living seas and of course the system was down. Got a call back this afternoon and gave the cm all my changes. When I got the email with all the changes I've found some mistakes and other scheduling issues. I think I might call each venue on my own and straighten it out or maybe I'll try calling IPO first to see if I get a different cm.

Not really what I wanted to be doing 10 days before my trip. I'm sure it will all work out in the end but I should be packing and not worrying about this stuff.

Quick Question!!

We got our package docs today and my sister asked why it only lists one meal. I told her I was sure it's referring to all the meals. Please confirm that your package docs say:

"Premium Plan Meals, 1 per person, per night." and
"Two Snacks, 1 per person, per night."

I'm thinking the mealS means the 3 credits. Correct?

Yep, 3 premium meal credits. :goodvibes

Sadly, just got the call (a message)that my son's November 17th Aqua Seas tour is cancelled. He was really looking forward to it. Funny thing is they didn't mention anything about the Dolphins in Depth (which isscheduled for the same day), but I would guess that it will be cancelled also. Wonder when they're going to call us about that one?

Now...what to schedule in place??? Those two tours pretty much filled the schedule for that entire morning into mid-afternoon. My son and his girlfriend have already done most of the other tours so their options are limited. We're not real happy with Disney over this, especially since they could substitute the Wild Africa Trek if they wanted to . . . but I understand that they have resisted doing so. I realize that some things are out of their control, this being one of them; a filter problem is certainly an unexpected issue. But I thought Disney kind of looks to exceed guests' expectations. They could easily keep people who booked the tours happy by offering Wild Africa, or some other tour not regularly on the Platinum plan, in its place. Back to the drawing board, I guess! :)

Thanks! I was sure that's what it meant, but just thought I should double-check that they didn't make an error on our reservations! :thumbsup2

You're welcome. Our Plat paperwork said the same thing (1 PLAT plan meals per person) and we received 3 Plat meal credits.

Get ready to have a blast! :thumbsup2

Ok so last night I emailed IPO about our upcoming Dolphins in Depth and Sea Aqua Tours since I haven't heard anything as of yet. Dolphins is scheduled for 11/19 and Sea Aqua is scheduled for 11/22. I was emailed back and told the Dolphins is cancelled and that all tours would start again on the 22nd so Sea Aqua is a go.... not sure I believe that but thats what i was told. Keep you posted.

It looks like we finally have our new schedule sans DiD and Seas Aqua. Right now I'm sitting here with a stack of cash trying to figure out how much and who needs to be tipped. I know all meals require it but it's more that activities I'm worried about. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

Tues, 11/15

7:00. Check in Poly
7:30 breakfast Kona Cafe
10:00 jet ski tour - 4 ppl, 2 jet skis
11:00 parasailing - 2 single deluxe, 1 tandem deluxe
1:00 spa - mani/pedi and facials for 2
1:00 golf lessons for 2
5:30 dinner Flying Fish
8:30 illuminations cruise

Wed, 11/16

7:00 4 hr fishing for 2
8:30 Wilderness Segway for 1
1:00 horseback riding for 3
5:15 V&A dinner
9:00 Cirque

Also in there is a Richard Petty ride along which I was going to do but since I hurt my back over the weekend I don't think climbing through a car window is a good idea. My husband will probably do it instead while the kids and I go horseback riding.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread and gave me the confidence to do this.

7:00. Check in Poly
7:30 breakfast Kona Cafe
10:00 jet ski tour - 4 ppl, 2 jet skis
11:00 parasailing - 2 single deluxe, 1 tandem deluxe We did (1) tandem @11am from CR and it took up almost 2 hours since Sammy Duvalls was off to a late start ...(continued below)
1:00 spa - mani/pedi and facials for 2 ...where's your spa treatment at? We had a WL spa 1 pm ressie, so the parasailing boat dropped us off at WL :woohoo: - had they not done this we wouldn't have made it in time. Perhaps if you ask, they can do the same for you.
*For parasailing we tipped 18% of the $170 tandem cost
*For spa we tipped an extra $10... even though it states gratuity is included for spa, Disney only reimburses tips at approx 10%. I asked the spa manager.

1:00 golf lessons for 2
5:30 dinner Flying Fish
8:30 illuminations cruise
*For Illuminations cruise we tipped the captain $35 since you share the boat with others on the plan.

Wed, 11/16

7:00 4 hr fishing for 2
*For bass fishing excursion we tipped 18% of the $455 fishing cost. We did this x2.

8:30 Wilderness Segway for 1
1:00 horseback riding for 3
5:15 V&A dinner
9:00 Cirque

My comments are posted above in red. The tips are a bit on the 'ouch' side, however, completely worth it. :goodvibes

Thanks for the feedback. Our spa pkg was at the Contemporary but we changed it to Saratoga Springs. I'll make sure to keep in mind the parasailing time issue. We'll have our van with us so my daughter and I can jump in and head over. The spa said they'd provide complimentary transportation from the
Polynesian since the spa at the GF closed. That would leave us even less time since pick up is an hour before the appt.

Now off to start packing.

I'm sure this has been covered somewhere in this 150 pages, but where is the "reserved viewing" for Illuminations and is it a good spot? We'll be doing CP on the same day, so we could use the CP reserved viewing (but that's probably a lot of guests), or the Premium package reserved viewing, or we could find our own spot.

Experiences? Opinions? TIA!

We did the preferred viewing for Illuminations when were there on October 15th. We thought it wasn't very good. It is on the boat launch near Morocco and the view is partially obstructed. What really disappointed us though was that the speakers on the launch were broken, and because we were a distance away from the nearest speakers, hearing the music/narration was difficult. To me, a big part of the show is the sound!

Although the area wasn't terrible, I wouldn't watch from there again. You might be better off in the CP spot or finding your own spot.

:thumbsup2
