Can we purchase the vouchers only at any GR?

Are you able to get discounts at DTD with vouchers, or do you need the actual AP?

If you purchase on-property, you will get an active AP or PAP. This can be done at any Theme Park Ticket Window or any Guest Relations Location (Theme Park or Downtown Disney).

You only get a "voucher" if you pre-purchase through MS. You actually have to pay a processing fee to get the voucher, otherwise you only get a confirmation number. That voucher or confirmation number then needs to be taken to Guest Relations where you exchange for the actual AP or PAP.

By discount, do you mean merchandise discount? If yes, you need to have an active AP or PAP to get the merchandise discount.

When I purchased my PAP at the Epcot GR window the CM told me I could buy a voucher that I could activate at a later date in 2013 which would then be good until whatever date I activated it in 2014. I asked him again and he said they can sell the voucher there. I didn't get one as I had just bought my PAP and a FL seasonal pass for DH so didn't really have the cash to put out then. I will be back there in Dec and may buy one then but have to give it serious thought. I did save quite a bit on merchandise purchases and on the day we went to TL. DH still had some water park days on an old pass but I didn't so that is why I got the PAP instead of the FL seasonal pass. A couple of water park days will make up the difference in price. I will also check on how much I have saved with the discounts to see where that puts me. I don't buy that much any more in the way of souvenirs but some of the dining discounts help also. Each time I had to show both my pass and my photo ID to get the discounts.

Yes. You can get an exchange certificate (aka voucher) for each eligible person. If you are doing this on-site at Guest Relations, be sure to ask for a CERTIFICATE that can be activated later. Check the back of the voucher before you leave Guest Relations to be sure that is what you have received. It should say that it needs to be exchanged for the actual pass or something like that.

You can also buy the exchange certificates online (there is a link on the Members' Website) or you can call MS to buy them. You will get either a will call number (no extra charge) or you can get an actual certificate mailed to you (that will cost a few extra dollars).

The last day to activate the CERTIFICATE (turn it in to get an actual PAP) is 12/31/2013. You must do the exchange on site.

Info on the boards indicates that the PAP shopping discount for 2013 will be lowered from 20% to 10%. DVC took the PAP news flash down from the website last week so I'm guessing that this report is true and we just got our vouchers in the mail yesterday.

I recently contact MS... If you purchase the PAP you must activate it by Dec 31, 2013 at one of the parks or DTD. We wanted to activate on Dec 31 and then travel Jan 2014 and then again in dec 2014... We were told we could not just activate tickets from anywhere... Must physically do it at one of the parks or DTD. Bummer.
