Premium Outlets

Hello from sunny Florida. We have been here for a week and a half now and fly home on Saturday.

Just a quick note to let everyone know there appears to be some work going on at premium oulets. Much of the car park at the Nike/Gap end is currently fenced off with lots of diggers et al. moving/levelling stuff.

This is currently making the parking even worse than normal....!!!

Don't know what they are doing as there are no signs up. Does anyone else have any clues.

We have speculated that they may be providing a multi storey - but that is really just wishing as all frequent visiotrs will know it would be a god send.

Just a thought .... the land the Premium Outlets were built on land which was reclaimed from the wetlands surrounding Little Lake Bryan, perhaps the area has settled a bit more since the place was built and then further developed. The wetlands area used to be so much bigger when we were there in '02 but there's not much left now.. we noticed the significant changes on our last visit Lots of little lizards and a couple of turtles were trying to get back on there and the birds were not happy either. I guess that's the price we pay for 'progress' . They may be assessing the possibility of expanding the mall too considering the new hotels etc being developed near by, will keep an eye on Orlando Sentinel to see if they have any information.

They built some units in th car park last year- think Gap moved into one, so maybe they are building more, Ive found in the last year or so parking has got rather hard to find at peak times so I hope they dont take up oo many spaces!
