Premium Outlets - Best Access & Parking

Over our last few visits, the congestion when arriving at the PO has steadily worsened and finding a parking space more difficult. Last time (2005) we entered via the I-Drive side and parked on this side of the outlets. It was much easier than entering via SR535.

I've read somewhere that the car-park on the I-Drive side is being replaced by a multi-storey (??).

Can anyone who has been recently recommend the best side to access ?

I remember reading in previous thread, and I think it was a post from SimonV that the PO people had aquired the Dixie Stampede site to add more parking. This could be why you heard a rumour of a multi story. If this is true, I'm not sure.
We went to PO a few times on both our trips last year and never really had a problem parking, but it can take a while to find a space, we do try to avoid PO on weekends.

Yes can confirm as yesterday we parked in the parking garage aka multi storey and it is much better, keeps the car in the shade!

No its at the back of the PO near to the hig rise blocks on I-Drive, it was being built when we were there in October and is now fully complete. Also at the back is huge work for new outlets

The Dixie site is still as it was nothing has been knocked down and no sign of any planned works happening soon.

the shops destend for the dixe site are oland quite a few years down the line.Simon group(who own PO)tought it would be better to buy now,they gave dolly a rediculas price and she accepted,shame as was looking forward to going there as it always got good reviews.
there have been romours that disney might stage high shool musical there,you would get picked up in school bus from your resort,taken to the shool canteen(dixe stampede) and eat your meal off school trays,while listening to HSM songs and rotenes.Thinking being HSM a short lived franchse so disney wont build an arena for it, only would run 2-3 years till they tear the building down

My girls would love that Joanne. Both are HSM daft !!

I think missing the PO at the weekend is a great idea but, unfortunately, the 3 women in my life want to go shopping for footwear on our 2nd day - which is a Sunday !!
