Premium Annual Pass discount

That's great, thanks.
Does that mean I will need to wear my magic band and carry the PAP since I won't be able to link them before I get to WDW?

You will be able to link the voucher # or the will call # to your My Disney Experience to make FP+ selections. You will still have to go to guest relations to activate it before entering a park.

The non-discounted price of an AP is $634 plus tax.

UT does not sell APs.

4/30 is when the promo for the $484 PAP ends. Regular member pricing will not change until Disney does the next price adjustment (last price adjustment was on 6/2/2013).

There was a price adjustment last month. The regular DVC AP was $464 I believe before that.

Debbie, I believe you have answered my next question (which is in bold above).
If I order the PAP using my DVC for the discount and purchase another "regular" AP not using my DVC discount, I will get a voucher. Is this correct?

Once I get the voucher, I can then "link" my voucher number to my now non existent magic band on the computer? Is this correct?

Once I link the Voucher number with my "magic band" online, I then am able to select my FP+ for my trip EVEN though I have not activated my PAP?
Is that correct?

THANKS SO MUCH Debbie or anyone that can help a newbie AP diser.

Correct on all points.

Oh goodness, my head is spinning.
I will be at Disney in September for 8 nights, December for 2 nights (not doing parks) and again in April. Thought I would get the 10 day non expiring but thinking I need the PAP for best discount? Is this correct?
I'm a DVC owner. Do I purchase from UT or from Disney by April 30?
What is even the difference between an AP and PAP?
I will probably be doing 8-9 park days between my 3 trips so this would be worth it, correct?
For my December 2 night trip, it is pre cruise and we are staying at the Contemporary, not DVC. Can I use the PAP for a discount at Contemporary?
Please let me know what I need to do I think I need PAP but have no clue and NEVER read about the PAP or AP since I always get the 10 day non expiring.
THANKS SO MUCH!
The PAP will work out to be much cheaper than the 10 day non expiring pass. You must get it through Disney by the 30th. You might get a discount at the contemporary, you would have to call and see if they have a Annual passholder's rate for the dates you are staying.
The PAP also includes the water parks, Disney quest and one of the golf courses. Since it's a dollar less than the AP price (until the 30th) it's a no brainer. After that, it gets a little tricky.
You can also get the TIW card, which gives you discounts off your meals at participating restaurants, which may work out better for you than the dining plan.

Correct on all points.
Perfect! Thanks. I'm glad I am finally understanding.

Thank you. So, I'm guessing the PAP discount is less than 20%. I'll get the TiW card I guess. I wonder if I get a better discount for the TiW with the PAP then using my DVC discount?

There are DVC and AP discounts but not that many are 20% so TIW does seem to work out better if you are doing sit down restaurants. It's best to ask which one will give you the best discount. Don't forget the 10% off shopping with the AP.

THANK YOU, too, OP, I just now purchased my PAP :thumbsup2
Thank you. I saved a lot of money and appreciate it!

My husband is having a problem ordering the passes on line. is anyone else having the same problem? It won't let him add to the cart?

I posted this under DVC member services but here is the work around that I found works

Log in and go to annual passes. Add the price of the premium passes for all guests to your cart and click check out. On the review page click the x and remove those from your cart. A new page will come up under continue shopping click on annual passes then add the premium passes and you can check out with the discounted prices. No more error.

Thank you for the information. He is on hold now buying them.
Can't wait to use them in November:cool1::cool1:

I'm pretty confused now, and I thought I understood stuff. I bought the regular DVC APs a little over a week ago at the discounted $485 price. I keep seeing people here saying that the PAP was the same price, but I'll be darned if I can find that price anywhere. Are the PAPs really the same price until tomorrow? Do you think I can have Member Services adjust mine? I'm assuming people keep mixing up the AP and PAP, but I've seen at least one person mention that they were the same price.

They seem to have taken the discount off of the Special Offers page on the members site. I couldn't find any reference to the special discounted price when I just checked.

yes they were different by $1 .. I would call and have them change them for you. (price only good through tomorrow though).

On hold now. Hopefully they didn't end the promotion. You know, I like to think I'm pretty on top of things, but I can't believe this one slipped past me. Just can't trust the member website, I guess. ;)

FYI: Had to call 407-566-4985 and choose Extension 5. Waited about 7 additional minutes, and she was able to take my confirmation number and membership number, and upgraded my passes. Thanks, guys!

How did you make out?
The PAP discount is $1 more than the AP and the offer is good until tomorrow, April 30. Hope it worked well for you.

The discount on DVC has magically reappeared. I tried to order passes around noon and couldn't find it. Just went back now and it is again listed!

Technically, the tickets are non-refundable. So I had to eat the $2+tax difference. :lmao: But I got them upgraded. Pretty easy, actually. Just wish I hadn't waited on hold with Member Services for 20 minutes just to find out I had to call ticketing. But that's what speakerphones are for.

By the way, I JUST now discovered that if you are logged into your main DVC account, and go to the main Annual Passes page at WaltDisneyWorld.com, you see the CORRECT prices, which is how I nearly missed out. The DVCMember.com link to the passes was to an old page that hasn't been upgraded had did not have the promo running.

https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/passes/

So it looks like Disney's website is getting smarter, but woe betide anyone that ends up at an old page.

So....I was wondering, do they send you a voucher? or if you currently have a PAP will it auto renew? We are out of points after this summer's trip and likely won't be back until 2016. Probably meeting up with a cousin in DLR next year. Can I order a voucher at this price....and is there a specific MUST ACTIVATE BY date like the last PAP deal? I will definitely purchase this now if it is a voucher that can be activated later with no specific date.

This deal requires you activate by 1/31/15. So if you won't be back until 2016 skip it! :)
