Is the PAP Combo that gives admittance to DL and WDW still offered? I wasn't able to find it on the DVC or Disney site.
Thanks

Since there is no discount offered on this one has anybody bothered to figure up about how many park days you would need to use it in order to break even??

We're going to DL for 4 nights this summer but are not 100% sure when we'll be going back to WDW...probably for 2 trips next year (spring break and summer) but I don't think the 2nd trip will be in time to make the dates that we'll be using this summer therefore I don't think we'd get our money's worth out of it if it only covers 2 trips. Just curious how many days makes it worth buying.:confused3

I would not recommend the Premier Passport, as it is full price for both APs at DLR & WDW. It is much more economical to get an AP for each park, especially with the DVC discount at WDW.

Annie, you can usually find a three day park hopper at the local grocery store for a good price, which also comes with one Magic Mornings at Disneyland (sort of like morning EMH, but for one park). This is useful for those not "staying on property". You can then have them add a day once there, I believe. I would suggest perusing the DLR board to see about the best way to get tickets at DLR.

No planning on renting a car at DL....I was planning to get a grocery order from Vons...do you think they could deliver them? :lmao:

The thing to consider is expiration dates. If you have separate AP's, each will have its own expiration date. If you get a Premier, you have 1 year from when it's activated at the first park. I looked at it last year because I had trips to both WDW and DL. I went to WDW in April and DL in September. Then this year WDW in March and DL in August. If I would have bought a premier, it would have expired in April so it would have covered both my WDW trips but not be good for my August DL trip this year. By buying separate, my DL AP expires in September and covers both years trips.

I am not following your logic.

The Premier is about $877. So even if you bought a $399 WDW PAP when they were available last year, then a Premier may make better sense than a $469 DL DAP or a $649 DL PAP.

For some, the timing of their trips makes the nominally more expensive option more economical. For others, this is not the case.

We plan 10 days at WDW in April, 4 at DL in August, 4 at DL in October, 5 at WDW in November and 3 at DL in January. While the DL DAP would saw us $8, we would need to buy 3 block out tickets ($210) for our planned dates.

DLR Premium AP: $649.00 (no tax on the CA park AP)
WDW Premium AP: $744.44 (including taxes)

= $1393.44 vs.......

Premier AP: $876.59 per Cheshire_Figment

Even if you take the $20 off for the DLR AP and take the WDW pass down to $595.34, you get $1224.34 to buy both Premium passes. The deal we got at the end of last year was, as far as we know, a one time thing, so I'm not going to put it into a general conversation of economical, etc. It might never happen again.

But it certainly is not full price for the APs at each park. People complain because we don't get a DVC discount on the Premier...but that's probably because it's a REALLY good discount off of those APs to begin with.

Now the question is IF you need the Premium pass for both parks.

That's the question that keeps me from getting the Premier so far. So far, if we're doing a WDW-focused year I can't get enough trips to DLR out of my wallet to bring me to the level of needing a Premium at DLR. This year we ONLY got the WDW Premium because of that deal, so if talking specifically about that and specifically about my plans, I would need to be going for one 5 day (the longest they sell normal tickets for now) and one other trip to Anaheim for it to be worth it. And those plans never happen for me; the wallet funds one coast or the other, generally.

Well for me it is a no brainer. I live 30 min from DL and I go to WDW for 3 weeks a year. I more than make my money back. In fact since I renewed it in Jan. I have been to DL 6 times and to WDW for 7 nights already. I feel the price of the pass is a steal and I am continued to be amazed that Disney still offered it at such a cheap price.
