We had Disneyland signature plus passes and took them to the ticket booth to switch over to the Premier pass but it seems like they really messed up! Premier passes are showing up on our account but when we tried to make our fast pass selection they didn't show up! so we called Disney and found out that the people at Disneyland goofed! It took us close to an hour just for them to switch passes and the ones they gave us showed up in the system expiration date for 2030! I know everyone makes mistakes but this is a BIG one! luckily for us the folks on the phone fixed it so we could get our fast passes for our up coming trip to Disney world and we won't have a problem using them...I HOPE. Question I have is how is that going to work with our Magic Bands? what if they mess up the information again? I'm starting to panic!

Nothing is on magic bands. All you need is everything correct within mde and the magic bands will work fine from reading that info

Thank goodness! Do you think we should bring our passes?
Yes. If you want any of the benefits that an AP offers you must have the pass and ID. Magic bands are only good for park admission, FastPass, and charging to your Disney resort room or meal plan. Merchandise and dining discount require the pass.

When you looked at your MDE account the passes were there but you could not book FPs? We recently renewed and upgraded (Signature Plus to Premier) and I would like to make sure everything is squared away before it's FP booking day... Were you still able to get your FPs after having spent an hour on the phone?

Yes, they said they were "working" on getting the passes fixed and they let us pick our fast passes. Hopefully they get it fixed before we go in 60 days! We've never had a problem upgrading our passes before but I guess very few people upgrade to Premier...don't know if that had anything to do with it or they were just confused.

We went two years ago (upgraded at DL to Premier) and had a tough time using our passes/MBs on our first day at the turnstiles. Took about 30 minutes at Guest Services for WDW to 'recognize' our passes *sigh*
I was hoping that since the passes appear in MDE that we were good to go. Well, at least I know they let you choose FPs while they figured their end out.

Sorry to hear you had trouble but as you say, at least they let us make our fast passes since we are 60 days out. If we have trouble when we get there...well, so be it. It'll get figured out I'm sure. Especially for the price we paid for those things!

The same thing happened to me! I upgraded my Signature pass to a Premier. It was automatically shown in my Disneyworld MDE but as a "voucher" with the 2030 expiration date, and I couldn't book FPs. I had to call and get it taken care of. Something is going on with Disneyland IT that they would make the same mistake twice.

I'm also worried because right now in my Disneyland MDE it still shows as a Signature, not a Premier. So on Saturday when I head over there I plan to use MaxPass, which will now be included with the pass. I expect I'm going to need to go to Guest Services to get it taken care of, at least I'm planning a chill day, with just a Fantasmic dining package.

Hopefully they got yours cleared up...we are now finished with all that and were able to book all of our Disney world stuff without a problem. Good luck to you kiddo!

They were able to get it taken care of. I decided to practice booking FPs about a month before my actual booking date when I discovered the issue so had time to call! Then I actually got a call from Disneyland today that explained there are issues in the DL app that aren't recognizing Premier passes which have been upgraded from a lower level AP. They took all my ID numbers (I guess Premier has one ID for DLR and one ID for WDW) and will be fixing it manually in time for my visit this weekend so I can get MaxPass automatically!

Looking at your ticker, I also realized by coincidence we will be there the same days! We are sept 9-18!

I had to call Disney when I upgraded to Premier at Disneyland last year as it wouldn't link with MDE like normal. They were able to fix it while I was on the phone with them, took about 20 minutes.

They were all confused for some reason but it's sorted out now. Glad you got yours done that quickly. I WAS kind of disappointed because you know....there was no fanfare, or rockets going up! lol I thought it would be better then "here you go"

So cool! are you getting excited?
OMG-YES! Although now that all ADRs and FPs are booked I can start to relax. This is my first visit so will probably be focusing on attractions and shows, so won't be doing many of the special F&W things.

I can hardly remember the first time I was there! we went for our honeymoon 37 years ago!
it IS nice to have everything done isn't it?because we are doing a split stay we still have a few FP's to do but nothing major. Stop and do a couple of the samples if you can...kind of breaks up the day...Oh my gosh, I'm excited FOR you! also, when you do your trip in 2018 Port Orleans french quarter is a super nice place to stay....we stay there every time we go!
Do you live near DL? we've been going for over 20 years and are pass holders too!
