This is just a shot in the dark ...

Years ago, the premier pass included a batch of coupons (I think it was 10 per pass) to get free bottled water throughout Universal and IOA. I know this isn't offered with new AP's, but wondered if old coupons would still be honored.

I have an unactivated AP that I probably won't activate until later this year, but am cleaning out drawers and found these old coupons. Worth saving or should I trash them?

You can give them a try when you are there. You can get water & ice from the freestyle machines for free.

I didn't know about the freestyle machines. Must be new since I was last there. Thank you!

You can get free cups of ice water anywhere that fountain pop is served. There are also plenty of drinking fountains. I'll never understand why people lug bottles or cups around.

Here are a few reasons:

- Central Florida water doesn't taste or smell like water from the rest of the country, it has a rotten egg/sulpher smell due to the aquipher
- I work in a school and have a bottle filling station outside my room. In the past, there was a water fountain in that spot. Based upon what I've seen children do to the water spout when they think no one is looking, there is no way I would ever drink water out of a public water fountain or bottle filling station 🤢
- I've seen adults washing children's dirty feet in a public water fountain at a theme park

I would rather lug a bottle or cup around all day long!

I would hope that water at a freestyle station is filtered. Similar to going to the fill-yourself soda stations at a fast food place where you can get plain still water. As others stated, regular FL tap water is not good. Since I had the old coupons for free bottled water, I just wondered if it was possible to still use them.

Well, I used the one at Sapphire when we were there in July and it tasted like bottled water not Florida tap water.

I have experienced this at other places. Thankfully not at Universal.

Yes it’s filtered or at least it tastes filtered. Some glasses of ice water at table service restaurants are gross but most are fine. Freestyle machine water has always been consistently great for us.
