Premier AP FP help

I just upgraded my Signature Disneyland AP to a Premier DLR/WDW AP in anticipation of our trip this fall (made more financial sense once I accounted for discounts, photopass, etc). I used it right away and had no problems entering DCA or DL this afternoon. I had to manually enter the pass number into MDE and it has recognized it, allowing me to view passholder room discounts and purchase MNSSHP tickets.

But when I've gone to try and practice booking FPs it says no tickets are linked. Under MDE, my tickets it has "Premier Domestic Annual Pass 13 for 12 Shell". Does this mean it isn't activated yet and won't be good until I arrive at WDW in Sept? Is there something I can do on my end or do I need to call Guest Services?

I have never had a premier AP but with a regular WDW AP voucher (unactivated AP) you are definitely able to make advance FP (30 days out or 60 days out with an onsite stay). I would think it should be the same with your AP. Perhaps you could try contacting my Disney experience help desk first to see if they can assist you.

Thanks! I'll give it a try!

Are you trying to book beyond this month? You should be able to book 7 days of FP+ during the next 30 days. If you book a room at WDW, you will be able to book 60 days from check-in.

It wouldn't let me book anything. After I select a person to make a FP it says-hold on you need a ticket. Elsewhere in MDE it shows the pass assigned to my name.

Is the "Shell" wording normal? Or is that part of the problem?

I think that could be part of the problem as I have never seen that listed when I had an AP or AP voucher (but again I've never had a premier AP).

An update-I called Disney and the CM I talked to couldn't fix it but put through a ticket. It finally started working this afternoon. Looks like Disneyland didn't put through the details on their end! Also, interesting to note that it is called "Premier Domestic Annual Pass - CA Sale". But I can now book FPs if I need to!

A couple years ago I bought a premier pass in Florida. The first two times I tried to use it in California (a couple months apart!) it didn't scan at the gate. They just work differently. I would anticipate the blue Mickey and the CM hand raise when you first try to tap into Florida.
