This is not verified, but what I could find. I cannot get thru by phone/computer to my family...Naples and Cape Coral(Ft Myers)
Iona area: Trees are down, ditches flooded as of Friday 5 p.m. no power.
Naples: Multiple power lines are knocked down across the area as well as trees.
Ft. Myers area: on New York Ave big tree down, 50 ft trees snapping near Edison Mall
Cape Coral: Near Triton Ct., streets are covered in debris, water is settling on streets, windows are broked, awnings gone. There are also reports of destoyed roofs near Del Prado Extension (my family is about 2 miles off of Del Prado
) They also do not have power. Industrial Park in Cape Coral is reporting 2 roofs have blown off, one at Integrity Sprinkler Co. on Country Club Rd.
Captiva Island: Reports of roofs blowing off homes, palm trees, debris all over
Pine Island:
Near Victoria nd James City there is a lot of debris and residents w/out power
LeHigh: Near East Jersey trees have fallen on a home
These are just the preliminary reports from folks who have been able to get word to the local news station WINK tv in Naples.
I pray the reports stay at this level of damage...I know 3 were killed in Cuba due to Charley.
