Pregnant or infant?

Last year we waited until we got back from DW to start working on a baby. Then in September I went on a short trip to Disney while pregnant. Now I am trying to coordinate our next baby with our next trip. So, I have been there while pregnant so I have experienced that. I am wondering whether it would be better or worse going with a smallish infant. I think our next trip is going to be in the winter/early spring and we will have DD along so any bigger rides are going to require coordination and kid trading and everything anyhow.

Well, we were in a similar situation. We were originally planning on going this October, but I would be 30+ weeks pg. I've been at 23 weeks and that was OK, but this pregnancy seems to be much more tiring. So, we are postponing our trip to February. The baby will be about 7 weeks. I've been combing the boards for tips on traveling with a newborn and it seems to be very doable. So, that's what we've decided. Plus, I'll be able to ride more rides with the baby outside of the womb!

I have done both, and they are pretty similiar. As long as you have a partner (willing husband, in my case) to do things with the older ones you will be fine. I remember spending a lot of time in the air conditioned gift shops while my husband was doing the rides with the kid. I needed rest a lot, just like I did when I was pregnant and I wanted to keep the baby out of the heat.

our babys due 16th November and we are going to wdw on christmas eve cant wait

I was hoping to come home from WDW with a "souvenir" :lmao: but I think I'm going with a bump!

So.. long story short.. sometimes the decision gets made for you! :rotfl:

Looks like you want them close together (I know a little about this ;)). I can honestly say, having gone both ways, that there was very little difference for me. As PP stated, w/baby and nursing, I still needed breaks and air conditioning just like during pregnancy. I am also glad we did a trip w/ DS#1 before DS#2 was born.

The biggest problem we had taking them both when DS#2 was small was the stroller. We had a Graco Duoglide. Oh, getting that monster on the bus with a baby and a one year-old...:scared1: .

We took our DS's last year at ages 21 months and 7 weeks. It was very doable with our double stoller and lots of planning and organizing.

I have pictures of our youngest riding the rides at 7 weeks. How cool is that! I know he will get a kick out of seeing them when he gets older.

Hi everyone, I am looking into creating a similar situation for my family!!:rotfl: I am due in early March 2009 with baby #2. DD will be six then so I am not worried about her. I was thinking of planning a trip for late September/early October 2009 so baby will be about 7 to 8 months old. For those who have done this, did you use a baby carrier or sling much or just the stroller? I really want to go back while DD is still young enough and not wait until the new one is three or four. How well do the carriers/slings work out when touring a park?

Thanks, Suz
