My DH must really love me - our 3rd anniversary is in November and he told me this afternoon that he booked us a room at BWI 11/10-11/15. It will be our last vacation for a while, because I will then be 6 months pregnant with our first child! I'm absolutely thrilled, but also a little apprehensive because I am a roller coaster kinda girl. Does anyone have any tips for making the most of my time without going on any of the fast rides I love?

We went to WDW in March while I was 18/19 weeks pregnant. I had a great time. :) Be prepared to take more breaks..both bathroom and just to relax. DH and I both found ourselves really enjoying just sitting and watching the families w/ their kids...daydreaming about our own baby on the way. And you'll also enjoy looking at all the WDW baby stuff! When we went, we didn't know the sex of our baby, which was a good thing otherwise I would have spent an extra $1000 instead of just $100! ;) Also, take advantage of some guilt-free snacking around the world!

Thanks, Skuttle! I know I'll enjoy the trip - especially since it's during the Food and Wine festival, so there are lots of great snacks to be had.

Your baby is adorable!

I wanted to say congrats on your upcoming pregnancy. I am pregnant as well and I'm going to Epcot the 14th of this month and again for the Food & Wine fest. (what better time to be preggo!!)
Fortunately, I'm a central florida resident, so I go about every other month. The good thing about Epcot is there are a lot of those slow moving, low motion rides you can still enjoy. Don't forget to go into the Future World pavillions. I'm especially looking forward to Spaceship Earth and Living with the Land rides. Not thrilling, but still some favorites.
I think I would stay away from AK, unless you really enjoy the animals. A lot of walking and not many attractions you can enjoy. If you check the disney site, they do list on each attraction the restrictions.

Good Luck and enjoy eating all that wonderful food at Epcot F&W!

We were in Disney when I was 5 months pregnant, just make sure you drink plenty of water and take it easy. Naps are a wonderful thing! I love the coasters also but I was much to excited thinking of when we would have our baby at Disney to miss them. That trip was definitely a different pace than we were used to but we still had a great time. We are going back in October with my son who is now almost three for his second trip! Congrats on the pregnancy and have a great trip.:)

I did WDW 2x pregnant. Both times I was about 6-6.5 months. I had wonderful trips both times. I am also a coaster girl - TOT is my fave- and I still had a great time.

You get to eat at least one Mickey bar per day without any guilt;) ,you can sit down and see some shows and enjoy the pace of eating without kids.

Thinsh to look forward to: taking the little one on Small World for the first time, try to get 1st haircut at the barbershop (both our DD's did this) and meeting Mickey (or a princess) with a little smiling kid!

Just remember to relax, drink water and sit to take in the sights so you feel good.

Congratulations.

Yeah for you and DH. We are going next week--and I will be 4 1/2 months. I too love the coasters, but I will be sooo happy not to ride the rides. What a payoff it will be. We waited 2 years to take this trip--we were hoping to have a little one going with us, but couldn't wait any longer. Two weeks after we booked our trip, we found out that we were pregnant!!!!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I will post after we get back to let you know how everything went. We are already planning our 1st trip with the baby. Can't wait to show him the WORLD. :earseek:

Oh one more thing. DH is complaining about all the ride rehabs that are happening when we are down there. I just tell him I not bothered by it--it doesn't affect me.

Happy Pregnancy!!!!

my best pregnancy tip is that the first aid centers let pregnant women lie down for a power nap with a blankie and pillow. a half hour can make a huge difference

I was at DL in California when I was 5 months pregnant and it was a fun time. I did have to stay away from the roller coaster type rides and the the ones that jostle you around too much but it was still really fun. I just sat, relaxed, and people watched while my husband and parents got on those rides. You will get A LOT of attention from the CMs and other guests. Everyone smiled really big when they saw me sitting outside of the bigger rides because they knew I was passing them up because of baby!!

At one point my DH and I stopped because baby starting kicking and he wanted to feel. We were both just standing there with our hands on my tummy when a CM came running over all concerned and asked if everything was okay and did I need any help. We told her that we were just feeling baby kick and she said "He must know where he is!"

I did find that I had to take frequent breaks just to sit for a while because my back got really sore with all the walking. Also frequent bathroom breaks were necessary and I made sure that I kept drinking water. We sat down inside "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln for quite awhile and a CM came by and asked if everything was okay. She also told me that if I needed to lay down for awhile I could go to first aid or could go to the Baby Care center to put my feet up for awhile.

If you have any food cravings, WDW is a great place to be. You can find just about anything you culd possible crave somewhere in the world!!

Thank you all for the wonderful responses and well-wishes. You all are making me even more excited than I already am! I am very glad that we are staying at the Boardwalk, so that I have easy access to the Food and Wine festival goodies! You have given me some great suggestions!
