Pregnant Cast Members?

I worked at Disney for 4 months and have seen some visibly pregnant CMs for sure! Sometimes if someone is not physically fit for their role, they will move them somewhere less strenuous (which is sometimes backstage). Perhaps that's why we don't see many pregnant CMs around the park!

Why did you resurrect a ridiculously outdated 8 yo post?

What is the problem with this thread or any "zombie threads" that are not actually outdated?

I don't see why you would consider this thread outdated? The information is still relevant. As far as I know woman are still getting pregnant. There is no other form of continuing the future generations that I am aware of.

So they wanna reply to it, what's the harm? Outdated and no more replies necessary to me would only be for time sensitive issues (even those tips may be helpful to other new readers) or now defunct rides, attractions, etc.

Many, if not most, of the responses of 8 years ago are indeed not current today. It is a different world today

Assumingy the same woman are not pregnant now and perhaps are in different job areas but I don't see anything outdated now from this thread.

I'm going with the links that show up at the bottom. They can be very tempting, and checking last posting date isn't a habit that most people are into.

I'm going to speculate without reading the whole thread that the reason you don't see many pregnant CMs is that there seems to be a significant population of younger folks and a significant population of older (retirementish) folks in the park as CMs. Given the population, you'd see fewer folks in their child bearing years. Add to that the plethora of opportunities for non-crowd facing work, you have a reasonable answer.

In November, there was a very noticeably pregnant CM helping with Capt. Jack sparrow's Pirate Tutorial thing. They do exist!

While eating at O'hanna's, I asked our VERY pregnant, Very close to term "cousin" when our "little cousin" was expected. She joked and said, "what?' "Im not pregnant" with a wink.

I remember we were at the Beauty & the Beast Show one time and it was apparently the last performance for a pregnant Belle. You had to look really close and I'm sure a lot of folks wouldn't have even noticed that she was even pregnant. She apparently had played the role for a good period of time because she received a special standing ovation at the end of the performance. She never missed a beat throughout the entire performance with all the singing and dancing. She was probably one of the best Belle's that we have seen and we have been go to this show since it first started.

If you have a problem with zombie threads, why do you comment on them? Just ignore them. They won't take long to disappear again. I think they're fun.

Someone posted a photo of a pregnant looking Lilo in the "Prove Me Wrong" thread and I realized I hadn't seen a pregnant Cast Member at Disney.

I know Disney is strict about appearances (no facial hair for men, etc.) limits on piercings, tattoos, etc.

Is this by design or coincidence? Could they legally terminate or suspend an employee due to being pregnant?

Obviously they don't want a Cinderella or Snow White with a big ol' baby bump,--wouldn't THAT make for some conversation.... :)
But, what about retail and resort workers?

Friends of characters usually work until it's visible, and obviously a manager might say something about it to them, and they get placed in other locations, usually they end up being a character attendant. It can be tricky, one of my friends was very visibly pregnant with twins in real clothes but in a certain dress it wasn't too noticeable!

As for other cm's, they all work until they want/need to not be, and costuming provides them with moomoo type things? I don't even know how to describe it, but certain dress like overalls that go over their original costume
