Pregnant and FP

I have not been since they added FP+. I will be 20 wks pregnant when we go, so I won't be able to ride everything the rest of our group rides. They will be FP 7 Dwarfs, Safari, Star Tours and the mountains. Problem is, I don't want to ride FP by myself while they stand in standby lines on other attractions I can ride. Can I still scan my magic band on rides like Splash Mountain or 7 Dwarfs, but not actually ride?

I am pregnant and due soon.

For times when only I cannot ride--we book them all together and I simply do not scan.

If another member of my party cannot ride, then I book both of us on a different attraction we can ride.

It was not an issue for us, but it was pointed out to us--the only hiccup for this is that if you finish the 3rd FP before the window expires, if you didn't use yours, it would prevent you from getting a 4th immediately.

Because of how we scheduled, this was not a problem for us. Not scanning my ban caused no issues. And as it happened that the 3rd FP was something I did use, no problem having to wait for the window to expire to get a 4th.

You have a few options:

1) You could use your FP to walk through the ride queue with them and just exit through the chicken exit.

2) You could get a fastpass for a nearby ride at the same time as they were doing the thrill ride (although it didn't sound like you wanted to do that.)

3) One of your party could use your band to ride a second time in a row with your FP.

We did this for my sister in November. She was 5 months pregnant so we just added her to the majority of our fp's. She loves taking pictures around the parks so while we did the rides she couldn't go on, she went off and took photos and hung around the giftshops. So she just didn't scan her band. Everything worked out great.

I'm considering going to WDW later this year. I'm also trying to get pregnant. DH and I decided that should I be pregnant at the time of our trip, we would just book separate FP+ experiences (at overlapping times so one is waiting standby while the other is riding) for the rides that he wants to go on that I wouldn't be able to. This would work particularly well at MK, where there are lots of ride options. My "alternate" options at AK would be pretty limited, so I would probably end up just booking and not scanning there (and shopping while he rides).

Or just give your band to one of the riders and let them scan it while you wait. We told the CMs what we were doing and they just nodded.
