So, I think I'm late. Of course, I'd know for sure if I had kept my Oct. calendar but I digress. I took a pregnancy test last Thursday and got a negative result. How long would you wait to retest?

I would think now would be fine. I tested negative with both my kids.. I had just tested to early. Tested again a few days later, and I got a positive! Most home tests say that on the first day of your missed period it will show. Some are up to 5 days before your missed period.

Do one in the morning using your first morning urine.

Hope the results are what you want them to be. :flower3:

Would it sound odd that I don't really know what I want the results to be?
This will be an "oops" for us if I am pregnant. As much as I really didn't want to be or expect to be pregnant now, I was a little sad last week when I tested negative. Life is interesting.

I would test now. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I took a test 3 weeks after my missed period. It was negative. Took another test a few days later and it was positive. No more store brand tests for me! :lmao:

Life sure is interesting!!

I kind of had the same thing happen, with the "oops!"

But as soon as I found out I was, I was so happy. And scared. DH was ecstatic. He lives by the "if it's meant to be, it'll happen" motto.

I do not want another child, but I think I'd feel that way if I were late. I'd be kind of sad to see a negative, but scared to death to see a positive!

Wow - I just saw that you have three two year olds. I'm assuming they're triplets (and not adopted)?

You would assume right. 2 1/2 year old triplets. They were not adopted. We were not expecting triplets either. It is hard to surprise me but when the tech said "have you seen this pregnancy before" and DH cheerily said "twins??" and the tech said "no triplets" - I can honestly say I had never been more shocked in all of my life.

I love that you still have your farting smiley as your avatar, btw.

I live by a similar motto "things happen for a reason"

I can only imagine. My last pregnancy started out as twins. I was bleeding and went to the ER and they did an ultrasound and discovered twins. When she told us, I was in shock...and terrified. Then about half an hour later, with a second ultrasound, we learned one didn't make it. :( I, of course, would have been thrilled if I could have given birth to twins, but I still remember the feeling when she told me she saw twins...I just wanted to escape for a few minutes before I had to think about it.

I'm sorry you lost one that had to be difficult. I was shocked and then actually pretty happy for about 10 hours. Then it sunk in and I was terrified and I cried my eyes out for a few days until we worked through some of the details.

I tested + about the same time I was due to start all 3 times (with the CVS brand test, lol).

I understand your feelings, I had the same thing about a year ago. I was having "symptoms" too, but it turned out to be nothing. DH had a vasectomy two weeks later.
