My DW is 8 months pregnant and we will be spending a weekend at wdw. Any of you D Moms out there ever go to disney pregnant? If so, what precautions did you take or what did you do differently aside from not riding? :cool1:

Well, I've never went to Disney while pregnant. But I am a mother of 2. And I would say to keep making stops, go indoors frequently to get out of the heat, and definitely keep hydrated!!! Lots of Water!! :cool1:

Anything that had the warning for pregnant ladies I didnt go on. I drank A LOT of water and took a break in the middle of the afternoon and went back to the hotel and had a lovely nap. DH would go down to the pool and swim and stuff while I took a nap.

Just take it slow and listen to what her body will let her do.

Mostly have fun.

My friend was there in March and was 6 months pregnant at the time. It was actually her 2nd pregnant Disney trip. :)

She drank a lot (of water!), sat a lot, but had a great time. She avoided anything with a warning of any kind.

Have fun!

I went when I was 8 months pregnant with my second. I did not drink enough water, make sure she stays hydrated! Other than that I avoided any ride that had a warning on it and took breaks when I needed them. Have fun!!

i went when i was 5/6 mo pregnant with 2nd child. i actually felt great, but then i was in Fla in late Feb early March. not too hot.

i did comment about a month later that i was glad i didn't try and go later in my pregnancy. i got huge those last few months and my size coupled with retaining water - my feet were a mess. not to mention the heat killed me.

Would i go at 8mo pregnant - no. but each pregnancy is different as are each mom to be.

As a labor and delivery nurse- we are always reminding people that there is no such thing as a "due date".... there is however, something we call a "due month". Anywhere from 38-42 weeks. When you say 8months, are you referring to 8months exactly (approx 36 weeks), or 8+ months? I may be leery of traveling far from home- away from the OBGYN that will be delivering- that far along in her pregnancy. Definitely tell her to heed all rides with pregnancy warnings, and stay WELL hydrated.

8 months? I guess you wouldnt mind bringing home an *extra Souvenier*. GL not going into labor while waiting at the carving station at 1900 park Faire

I was 5 months when I was there and we took LOTS of breaks in the a/c, I put my feet up. Also I didn't ride anything that had a pregnancy warning.

I brought a insulated water bottle and remember you can get free cups of water at any eating place (that has fountain drinks). This helped ALOT. We got them, drank them and refilled the water bottle.

On our last trip to the World I was 30 weeks pregnant. (See my signature!) I would say just take it slow. I loved sitting on benches and eating! A lot of rides were out of the question, but we were able to do many things that we would normally overlook due to not having to stand in line at all of the big rides. One thing I loved was Soarin'. (Sorry, that's a line!) It was so relaxing. Have fun and take lots of pictures of your little one's first trip to WDW!!!
